-Noah?- asked Haru when I answered my phone.

-Hey, Haru

-Where are you?

-Went to Kisumi's match.

-Did he win?

-Yes, as always, but barely by 2 points.

-I see, good for him.

-What's up? You need something?

-Do you have time to go to the river?

-Again? We went last night.

-Yes, please.

He doesn't usually say please.

-Sure Haru, I'll meet you by the station near our place, okay?

-Okay, I'll take my bike.

Once I got out of the subway, he was already waiting for me by the top of the stairwell.

-Ready?- I asked.

-Yes, get on.

The sun was about to set, I saw the beautiful pink shades that were displayed on the river when we were passing by the bridge. I took some pictures careful to not let go of Haru's t-shirt. When we arrived at our usual spot, I sat on the bench and listen to the water and seagulls.

-Talk to me- I said, without taking my eyes from the scenery.

-Have you ever felt unuseful?- he asked after taking a deep breath.

-Yes, yes I have.

-What did you do to stop that feeling?

-It took me awhile, but I focused on my strengths and eventually stopped listening to the people that hurt me.

Haru nodded and stayed silent for a while. Until I took his hand in mine and faced him.

-Why do you feel like that?

-Remember what I told you about my career?

-That you don't know if you're good at it?

He nodded.

-It's still true- he said.

-Have you talked to your professors about it?

He nodded.

-And?

-They said to keep trying, but I've been here for 2 years and I still haven't found that passion that you're supposed to have, to feel...

-Change it, then. Don't waste more time.

-Easier said than done.

-Obviously, but at least you've recognized that you don't belong there. And it's okay. It's okay to start all over.

-Is it really?

-Why wouldn't it be?

-It's scary.

-It sure is, but we'll support you. You're not alone, remember?

-What if I tell you, that I want to swim?

-Swim? You already swim.

-I mean, like Rin.

-So, global swimming? As in professional?

He nodded shyly, avoiding my eyes.

-Wow, it took you awhile!

-What?

-Haru since I met you, I was surprised when you said you were studying Arts, I figured you were following a similar path to Rin's. I understood you were different, but I've always thought your talent would be wasted if you didn't want to go professional.
