When I arrived to my apartment, I opened the door expecting the smell of mackerel cooking, but it was quiet and odorless. I called Haru's name twice, then went to check the bathtub, I even knocked on his bedroom door, and nothing. He wasn't there. It was still early, he probably slept at Mako's.

I sighed and felt anger building up inside me. I needed answers now. I called him a couple of times, but he didn't answer, as expected. My lectures were scheduled after lunch, so I had the whole morning to think about this. Great.

I decided to make breakfast and wait for Haru, he had left his backpack here, so he should come back for it. Maybe I could talk to him then, just for a bit.

The more I thought about it, the more I felt intrigued. They were friends, why did Haru punched Rin? And he obviously told him to shut up, so I wouldn't know, or well I guess it was implied... He must have had his reasons, but... ugh. This is why he was so reluctant to me helping him with his hand that day. Dammit.

I waited, but he didn't come to pick up his backpack. It was almost 8:30am, so I called Makoto.

-Hey Mako, g'day.

-Good morning Noah, what's up?

-Is Haru with you?

-Uh, yeah. Here....

-Hi- said Haru.

-Are you at uni already?

-No, we're gonna skip the first lecture. Why?

It sounded like they were having breakfast together, I didn't want to intrude, but...

-I need to talk to you. It's important.

-What is it? The shark again?

-Kinda. It's about... the bruise...

He sighed.

-Let me finish my food and I'll go over. You're at the apartment right?

-Yeah.

-Okay- he said hanging up.

He didn't even denied it. Well, it's Haru, and denying is too bothersome.

About 20 minutes later, Haru opened the door of our apartment, and walked directly to the kitchen.

-So, that crybaby finally told you, uh?- he said not amused.

-He didn't- I said rolling me eyes.

-Whatever.

-Haru...

-Was I wrong to do that?- he asked.

-Uh?

-Was I wrong?

-Why did you do it?

He sat down in front of me.

-He's been acting like such a stupid kid towards you. I don't know how you can put up with him anymore.

-I make him understand that he's mad about stupid things, but he's stubborn sometimes.

-Exactly, you have to make him understand, but why can't he understand on his own? It's not the first time he's been jealous, and it's not the first time you've explained your relationship with Kisumi or with any other male. It shouldn't be like that. You won't be here for long, you both should focus on more meaningful things right now.

-You've got a point.

He frowned, maybe he was expecting that answer. But it did make sense, Rin and I were arguing about stupid things lately, but that didn't mean we kept doing that the whole day long. That's the only thing he could see.
