(Quick A/N: I will be skipping all the 'first time ' shit cuz I'm impatient. Also, the italicized writing means your thoughts. Okay, enjoy the first chapter!)

Y/N POV:
As I was waving goodbye to my parents from my train window, I started to feel a bit nervous. I wasn't sure why, I've been to Hogwarts before. It's just, anything could happen y'know. As the train jolted forward, I realized that I was finally on my way to Hogwarts. I remembered how long the train ride actually was to get there so I pull out a muggle book called 'The Great Gatsby.' It was quite an interesting book, I remember my father reading it to me when I was younger. I didn't understand everything he was saying, but now that I'm older, hopefully I will. Just as I began the first page, I hear a loud bang coming from the outside of the compartment I was in. I heard lots of yelling and laughing.

"Ugh, I start the first page of a book and I'm already interrupted." I said to myself. Just as I was about to go back to my book, I see these four boys my age standing right outside my compartment. They looked at me as if they needed to ask me something. I have seen these boys around Hogwarts before. They call themselves the Marauders. They all just a bunch of troublemakers.

"Umm, do you mind if we sit here," said a dirty blonde boy with round glasses, "all the other compartments are full."
"Uhh, yea sure." I hesitated.
"Thanks." The same boy said. "I'm James by the way James Potter."
"Okay and." I say, not wanted to start a conversation with these boys.
"Nice to meet you too, over here I have my friends, Peter Pettigrew," he said as he pointed to the short, slightly chubby boy on his left. "Remus Lupin," pointing to the tall skinny boy on his right, "and Sirius Black." Pointing to the last boy with shoulder length, black hair on James's far right.

"I don't care." I say, again not trying to speak to these annoying boys.
"Is that The Great Gatsby you're reading?" Said the tall boy.
I look up, seeing the dirty blonde, tall boy speaking, "Huh? Oh this, yes," I say, shocked of how he knows the name of the book. "How do you know of it?" I asked, curiously.
As they all sat down, Remus sitting next to me, he was telling me how he likes to read and how he was also a half-blood. Remus seemed quite nice. We seem to have a few things in common. So far, he was definitely the most responsible, and respectful of the Marauders.

"Oi, Sirius mate, you've been awfully quite. Something the matter?" James said, noticing Sirius wasn't talking the whole train ride.
"Huh? Oh, uh no, I'm fine mate thanks." Sirius reply's. He seems to be nervous or something. I don't know, nor do I care.

I felt quite awkward sitting in the compartment with the four boys. I was just waiting for Lily Evans, my best friend, to meet me in the compartment but she is obviously late. Like, an hour late. Just as I was about to make up an excuse to leave the compartment to find Lily, she approached the compartment door, giving me an apologetic look. Strands of her long red hair in front of her face. She opens the doors scanning the compartment.

"Why hello there my Lilyflower, how are you on this fine day?" James boldly says. I chuckle to myself, knowing how huge of a crush James has on Lily. Lily tells me all the little encounters they have had.

Lily ignores him, rolling her eyes. After giving James a hard, scary, glare. She then comes to sit next to me, on my left. As the compartment goes silent for a few minutes, I quickly glance at Sirius, realizing James was right, he hasn't really said anything this whole train ride. Hmm, I wonder why Sirius hasn't made any signature flirtatious comments.

Let me put y'all on some background Information really quickly. I despise the Marauders. Remus and Peter are least of my problems but the other two, I strongly dislike. They are the worse people imaginable. I especially dislike Sirius Black, especially with the stunt he pulled on me a while back. But that's a story for another day. I am good with keeping my emotions steady and under control. So, I act like they don't bother me. Even though they obviously do. I'm just good at hiding my feelings. I know these boys front and back, I can read them like an open book. I don't consider myself rude, judgmental, or disrespectful but to these idiotic boys, that's all I am.
