A party....oh boy

Why did I think of a party? I have no idea, I don't even know why...some part of me really wants to throw one. And I find that really shocking because I'm not one for party's. Maybe it's my loneliness speaking because I loathe parties. They are to chaotic and loud and something always goes wrong. But right now, I could use chaotic and loud. It will be good for me, it will be a fun distraction from my boring and miserable life.

Okay, enough about my depressing lifestyle, let's throw a party.

It's Tuesday: July 1st, 1975
12:00 p.m

I keep procrastinating about this 'party' that I might throw. I don't even know if I should even go through with it, I've never hosted a party let alone gone to one. Plus, who would I invite. The Marauders, and the girls? Like that's so lame, I would need to invite more than them to make it a 'party'. Maybe I could invite the other people we played with when we played that game that one night. Frank, Dorcas, Oliviana, Athena, and Johnathan. But who else?..... I can tell them to bring a plus one. Yea! That's a great idea!

I was eating lunch when I heard a bang on my door.

"What the hell was that?" I say to myself out loud.

I walk to my front door, I open it to find Sandy, my owl. She also brought a letter with her. Hopefully it's from Lily.

"Oh, good. It's just you, Sandy. You had me worry for a second." I say.

I hold out my arm, she flutters up onto my arm while I carefully take the letter from her.

"I'll take that. Thank you." I say to her. Yes, I talk to my owl. It's normal.

I set her down while I open the letter. It is from Lily thankfully.

Dear Y/N,

It's so good to hear from you. I miss you so much as well. I'm sorry you had to be left alone this summer. Butttttt...... I hope this makes you feel better... look up.

That's all the letter said. Look up? What does she mean. I did what the letter said and looked up.

"SURPRISE!" The red head shouted.
"LILY!? What the hell!? How are you- why ar- You're here?!" I shout and stutter in disbelief.
"I sure am. I couldn't let my best friend spend summer all by herself. That's just sad." She tells me.
"It is sad. Anyway, how did you get here?!" I asked her. Still in complete shock.
"Oh you know. The old muggle way." She says.
"You drove here?" I ask.
"Yes. Well, my parents drove me." She says.

As we laughed, I invited her into the house. We talked and gossiped. We did what every teenage muggle girl did, talked about boys. Eww. Gross, right.

"So you're telling me you have absolute no feelings for anyone? How is that possible." Lily says.
"I don't know. Men are just....gross." I tell her.
"Well, that's true." She says.

I chuckle at her response when all of the sudden, I hear the doorbell. I look at her in fear and worry.

"Who could that be. I didn't invite anyone, did you?" I ask Lily.
"Not that I know of. Go answer it." She says suspiciously.
"Okay." I say while dragging out the 'o'.
