Summer...kind of

Summer has finally started! I'm literally so excited for this summer, I actually have friends that I can hangout with this time. Wow, I made that really sad. ANYWAY, i know summer just stared but I'm literally so excited for Christmas next year. I know it's next year, but i just can't wait. It's going be so fun. I was a little sad when I realized that I wasn't going to spend it with my parents, but I know they understand.

This summer is going to be different though, my parents are going away for this summer to 'sown time together' which, we all know what that means. Ewww. So that means, I get the place to myself! It might be a little lonely but....oh well. We will make it work. At least I get to be with my cat, Mochi and my puppy, Jelly-Bean. Beans for short.

It's Tuesday: July 1st, 1975.
10:30 a.m.

What should I do with my time? I have this whole place to myself. I could even throw a party! No, I don't like parties. Ummm... as I laid in bed, thinking about what I wanted to do for the day, I realized that I could stay with a friend the whole summer. My parents aren't home so they wouldn't mind, but my pets, what about my pets.... Oh! They can come! If it's okay with their parents.

I got up and wrote a letter to Lily. She would be the ideal person to spend the summer with, she's my best friend after all.

Dear Lily,

Hey Lily! I miss you already. Even though school just ended like a week ago.

Anyway, I was thinking, since my parents aren't home, and I'm home alone, I could spend summer with a friend instead. Now, I don't want to invite myself but...can I please spend the summer with you. I'm bored out of my mind here. I have no one, and nothing to do. I was even considering throwing a party. I'm starving, because I can't cook food! My mom usually does it for me. I will die if I'm here any longer!

Any-who, I hope your having a great summer so far and please let me know your answer. Love you lots!

After my very desperate letter, I sealed it up, and gave it to my owl, Sandy, to mail. I trust her to get it to the right place, she has a great sense of direction. After sending her away, I sit and wait. Wait for what exactly? Literally anything.

As time went by, I began to realize how boring my life actually was. Especially without my parents home. Don't get me wrong, is great having the place to myself, but it's still lonely. I just hope Lily gets my letter and replies soon.

What could I possibly do in my alone time? I think hard to myself. Cook new food recipes...? Maybe read some new books...? As I start brain storming ideas, I remember the idea...the idea I wrote in the letter. I already forgot about the idea because it's not like me to think about something like that.

A party......

(A/N: hey guys. Sorry for the very late upload. I when camping for a week, and then I came home for like three days, and then I went to universal. I GOT TO SEE THE AMAZING HARRY POTTER WORLD! Anyways, im home now, but I had a bunch of shit to do for school. Overall, it's been really hectic and busy. Now and next week, I'll be free, but on the 16th, I start my field hockey practices which I have everyday. Then I start school on September 1st. So it's going to be very chaotic. I will upload as much as I can, I know I say that a lot but i am trying.

About the story: this is just a starter chapter for the summer chapters I have coming up. I'm very excited to start writing them. Also, 9k reads!? WHAT!? we are almost at 10k. I'm beyond grateful for you guys. It really means a lot. I'm excited for what I have for you guys next. I hope you guys will like it.

P.s: i will most likely get the dates wrong so please don't come for me. :)
