Homework and a Secret

As James and I sat down at the table where our friends were, we chatted and laughed until dinner was over. I'm not going to lie, it was quite enjoyable. Maybe they aren't so bad. We all head back into the Gryffindor common room to hang out. Eventually, the girls all head up stairs leaving me alone with the boys in the common room. Not to long after though, Peter, James, and Remus decide to head up stairs as well. Leaving just Sirius and I alone in the common room. It was just silent at first. I was reading while Sirius was trying to finish his homework. He looked like he needed help. (Btw, pretend they already started classes) So I decide to go over and help him.

"Looks like you could use some help." I say laughing at him a bit.
"Ya think. This Potions essay is so hard. I don't know what to write about." He says in a whiny tone.
"All you have to do is write about a Potion you know of and explain it. Like what it's supposed to do, the ingredients, and the basics like that." I explain to him.
"Yea I get that, but I don't know what Potion to do." He says complains back.
"Well we used Veritaserum just the other day, write about that." I suggest.
"Oh yea! Y/N you're a genius! Thank you." He exclaims happily, I laugh out loud.
"No problem, let me know if you need anything else." I say while standing up about to go upstairs.
"Hey," he says suddenly, "Can you..stay down here, just in case I do need more help." He asks kindly. I'm kind of shocked he would ask such a thing but of course I can't say no. I just said if he needed more help, he could ask me. Ugh, why am I so nice.
"Umm, yea sure." I reply, in the same kind tone.

After a long night of help Sirius with his homework, he finally finished. He gathered all his things and was about to head up stairs. I decided to read on the couch some more because I wasn't that tired yet. He suddenly turned around to look at me. I felt him looking at me but I didn't look up from my book because I didn't want it to become awkward.

"Um, before I go up, why did you decide to help me tonight?" He asks. If you ask, it makes me question why I helped you, you idiot.
"Uh, I don't know. Just felt like it. Why you ask?" I answer.
"Oh, I was just wondering. I mean, I always thought you hated me." He tells me.
"What makes you think I don't still hate you?" I say, not looking up from my book.
"Well that's not a very nice thing to say now is it, Y/N." He says while slowly walking over to the couch.
"I can say whatever I want to." I argue back, finally looking up from my book and into his cloudy grey eyes.
"Yea I guess, but you wouldn't help me unless you wanted something." He says while smirking at me. He sat down right next to me, only inches apart from my face. I knew exactly what he wanted. And I wasn't having it.
"You disgust me. I wish I didn't even help you." I angrily whisper back, slamming my book and walking up to the girls dorm. He thinks he can just seduce me. Ugh, so wrong on so many levels.

Sirius POV:
As I watch Y/N walk upstairs, I felt like..... I don't know how to explain it. Like I wanted her more. I knew she was going to be hard to get. Which makes it more fun. But it's not like she's just another one of my conquests, I actually like, want to try. I don't know how to explain it. I'm not good with feelings and emotions and shit.

Y/N's POV:
"Can you believe that?! Ugh, he's such a player!" I say, explaining what happened with Sirius and I to the girls.
"Oh my, that's so disrespectful." Mary says.
"I'm sorry you had to deal with that Y/N." Lily says calmly. Trying to calm me down.
"He really thinks he can get every girl he wants, doesn't he." Marlene says.
"Yea I know right, that's just so wrong. He is playing with girls emotions at this point." Alice adds.
"Yea, he thinks he can just lure me in to be one of his little hook ups. Well not this time!" I say while I have my pointer finger in the air. Ugh, he thinks he can just play with my feelings.
"I'm going to bed. Goodnight." I say sternly. And with that, I drift off to sleep.
