Remus and I leave the common room. I'm kind of worried now. I hope the date is nothing too romantic. I don't want him getting the wrong idea. Maybe I'm over-reacting. Maybe it's nothing. I'm just going to go with it.
"So, where are you taking me?" I ask. getting more curious by the minute.
"You'll see, don't worry, I won't kill you." He says with a laugh.
"Well that's good to hear. Are we close?" I ask, getting anxious.
"Yes, just a few more minutes." He tells me.
I hope it's worth it. Cuz i'm not about to walk like 5 miles for some boring arse date thing. But I trust Remus.
"Ok, it should be right around here." He says while look around.
"Are we in the forbidden forest?!" I whisper yell, looking around
"Yes, but don't freight. I have a nice evening planed." He says with a sweet smile. Ugh, you're lucky you cute. Friend cute though. Obviously.
After a little more looking, Remus finally find the spot. There was a blanket with food, drinks, books and other little things. It was a picnic. Awww, this is actually really sweet. We were surrounded by beautiful flowers and hanging trees. There were little butterflies and the birds with signing. It was beautiful.
"Remus, this is lovely. Thank you." I say, giving him a wide smile. It was a genuine smile as well.
"I'm glad you like it, it look me a while to figure out what to do." He says shyly.
"Well it's perfect." I say, still amazed.
We sat down, getting everything out for us to eat. There were chocolate covered strawberries, sandwiches, scones, pumpkin juice, and other things. I was so excited to eat, it all looked so delicious.
"This is amazing Remus, really, thank you." I tell him.
"It was nothing, I just wanted to do something nice." He says, looking down at me. He was a very tall guy, I was only 5'5, he was like 6'4. Maybe I'm over exaggerating but still.
"You really didn't have too, but I'm glad you did." I say with a light chuckle.
"I'm glad I did too." He says, his dark brown eyes looking deep into my Y/C/E eyes.
After that, we finally ate. We talked about everything and laughed about it too. He was so easy to talk to. I'm starting to consider him my best friend. I've already told him secrets that I haven't told anyone, not even Lily. I trust that he will keep them.
"This has be so fun, and the food is delicious." I say while shoving a chocolate covered strawberry in my mouth.
Remus laughs and says, "Why thank you, I got help from the house elves."
"Well they did really good." I say with a laugh. I hear Remus join me while we continue eating the rest of the strawberries.
We talked and laughed, and talked and laughed some more. It was perfect.
"So, Y/N, what do you want to do after you graduate." Remus says. Oh, getting deep, okay.
"Umm, that's a great question." I say with a nervous laugh.
"Oh, n-no I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable-"
"No no it's fine, I just- I don't know, I mean my dad wants me to become an Auror and work for the ministry, but personally, I have always wanted to become a writer." I go to explain.
"I think you would do brilliant in both." He says in a calming tone.
"Really? I mean, I don't even want to become an Auror, my dad is kind of making me. My whole childhood, he would go on about how he captured all these bad witches and wizards and he was great. But all I wanted to do was write my own book. Writing is how I escape this messed up world. I just, fall into the pages of my own world. Where everything is made up but real at the same time. When I'm writing, I just felt so at ease and that I could just write forever and not worry about anything and not have a single care in the world-" I stopped when I noticed I was rambling. I got really shy and embarrassed after that.
"No no, keep going. I like hearing you speak. I think it's amazing how one can be so passionate about something. You should do whatever you want to do. You father doesn't make your choices. You do. And whatever path you go down, I'm sure it will be right for you. I'll be here for you either way." Remus says kindly.
After that, we looked into each others eyes. Our eyes not even looking away. Remus began to get closer....and closer. He was just inches from my face. Oh no.. uh- what do I do. He got an inch closer. Fuck- what now?! By now, we were touching, nose to nose. I was just about to move away when all of the sudden we hear a noise coming from the depths of the forest. We both turned out heads so fast, we looked at where to no noise came from. But we saw nothing.
"What the bloody hell was that." I whisper.
"I don't know, let's clean up just in case we need to run." He says to me. I nod my head in agreement.
We both got up and started cleaning our area. We gathered everything and placed it in the basket so it was easier to carry. We stood there for a moment, scared to move any more. Just as we were about to lift our feet to head back to the castle, we heard another noise. It sounded like a branch breaking. I gasp and grip my hand onto Remus arm. Damn, he's got muscles. Anyway, we both turned and faced the sound. Hoping to find what made the noise. We both had our wands at hand just in case anything actually shows itself. Now you would think that running to the castle was probably the best option, but Remus and I were to scared to move. Me a little more than him.
"It's okay, nothing bad will happen to you. I won't let that happen, I promise." He reassured me. I gave him a smile, I felt a bit more safe knowing that he was next to me.
"Thank you. And I know it's not a great time but, the picnic was perfect." I said. Feeling a bit more comfortable.
I started to loosen up, but then of course, we heard another noise. I looked around, trying to find what was making the noise. But I found nothing. It was just me and Remus, side by side, wands at hand, and ready the hex anyone or anything.
Sirius' POV:
"Oh shoot!" I whisper yell to myself. I almost tripped on the cloak.
Now I know what you might be thinking, and you're right. I'm spying on Remus and Y/N under James' invisibility cloak. I know that sounds awful but, I'm a jealous prick that wants Y/N to himself.
After a lot more walking, I found two figures. One quite tall and the other rather short. I think they were sitting down though. I walked over to them, trying not to make any noise. I over hear them talking and laughing. They seem to be enjoying their time together. Then i notice Remus get closer and closer to Y/N. BACK OFF ! I yelled at Remus...in my head of course. I tried to get a closer look, not making any sudden noise. Then of course, I stepped on a stick causing it to break. It made a fairly loud noice. I look up to see if Remus and or Y/N heard it....and they did. They looked around, I guess looking for what made the sound. I notice Y/N grab onto Remus' arm and stand very close to each other. Damn it, that should be me! I say to myself internally. I then move even closer, and then again, I stepped on another stick. It was louder this time. I notice Remus and Y/N get out their wands. Oh beans. I'm screwed. If I make another noise, they will probably find me and hex me. Then they will get mad at me, and I will never win Y/N over.
Y/N's POV:
We kept hearing other little sounds. I started to get used to it by now. Although I really wanted to figure out what it was. Remus and I began walking back to the castle when I saw a pair of shoes...a walking pair of shoes. Wait a minute- It can't be. Did he really- I think I know what's going on. I walk closer to the pair to WALKING shoes.
"Y/N! What are you doing?" Remus questions. All I do, is point to the moving shoes. I look at Remus and I think he was thinking what I was thinking.
"That son of a-" He starts.
Before I let him finish I reach my hand out, my other hand firmly gripped on my wand just in case I was wrong, and I removed the fabric.
"BLACK!" I yelled.
"Curse my long legs." He says to himself.
"You have a lot of explaining to do." I say.
