I was awake for the rest of the drive to the hotel, for the most part. I would take occasional thirty minutes nap and feel energized again after waking. It was 1:14 a.m. as the car backed into a parking space in front of a fancy-looking hotel.

"We're here," Kurapika announced, his voice low and tired.

I was about to pull the door handle when he started to speak again. "I'll ask the receptionist for some hygiene products for you once we get inside. When we get to Glam Gas Land, you can buy anything else you need. And uh... if you'd like, you can wear one of my shirts. I have plenty. I doubt you would want to sleep in the clothes you are wearing now."

I felt my face begin to heat up again so I opened the door and stepped out of the car. "Um, yeah, that would be fine. Thanks," I mumbled as I grabbed my bag.

We walked towards the elegant building and through the automatic doors. We were immediately greeted by the receptionist, an elderly woman with long, gray hair and a sweet smile.

"Hello! How may I help you?"

Kurapika leaned on the counter as he answered, "I just need two rooms for one night, please."

The woman's eyes shifted over to her computer and her fingers typed away at the keys. "Ah, yes, I have two rooms. They're right next to each other." Kurapika handed over his card in exchange for the key cards, giving one of them to me. He then asked for some necessities for me. He gave the woman one last look and a "Thank you."

I followed Kurapika down the hallway and into the elevator. Our travel to the rooms was completely silent aside from his occasional yawns. We finally reached room 117 when he opened his bag.

"Here's this," he said, handing me a black long-sleeve shirt as well as a small bag. "I don't care when you return it."

"Thanks," I took the items and looked down. "Goodnight, Kurapika."

"Goodnight, (Y/n)," he slid his card into his door and walked inside the room, closing the door behind him.

I smiled and turned around to enter my room. Once I was inside, I undressed and put on Kurapika's shirt as well as a fresh pair of underwear I kept buried in my bag. I washed my face in the small bathroom and turned off the lights, ready to snooze.

Loud knocking jerked me out of my drowse. I pulled my blanket down and huffed as I stared at the door, still lying down.

"(Y/n)! We need to leave. Get up and be outside in thirty minutes," Kurapika voiced from the other side of the door.

My feet touched the carpeted floor when I jumped out of bed. I pulled my phone off of the charger.

2:49 p.m.

What?! I really slept that long? We were planning to make it to Glam Gas Land by five, but it's looking closer to midnight now.

I took a shower—possibly the quickest shower I'd ever taken— and put Kurapika's shirt back on, as well as the pants I wore the day before. I felt dirty, but I didn't have any other clothes to change into, so I had no choice. I brushed my hair and teeth and put on deodorant before grabbing my belongings and leaving the room.

I scurried downstairs and returned the key card, and then made my way to Kurapika's car. I opened the passenger door and sat down with an exhale.

"Hi," I breathed.

"Hi," Kurapika said, unamused. He furrowed his brows and looked over at me. We held eye contact for a few seconds before a chuckle escaped my mouth.

"You look ridiculous when you try to appear angry," I commented. He rolled his eyes as he failed to hold back a snicker.
