The distant sound of cars moving through the city, the flickering stars in the dark sky, and the cool breeze made for a bewitching moment as I sat on the roof. I wrapped my arms around my knees as a fluffy blanket lay draped over me.
My eyes searched the sky for a constellation. After a moment, I finally found the pisces constellation. This constellation is associated with Venus and Cupid. I thought back to the Venus painting on the ceiling of the library. That was the day so many things changed. I found out the truth surrounding my sister's silence and my journey with Kurapika began. It had only been a week since that day, but it felt like forever ago.
Once I had gotten too cold, I returned inside of the mansion. I took a warm bath and slipped under my covers. The heat kicked on and I felt the air flow out of the vents.
Though I was comfortable, I hoped that I would have to get up to grab my phone at the sound of a notification from Kurapika. The sound never came, though. The last message exchanged between us was when I told him I was on my way to his place.
I sighed and closed my eyes.

The next day I woke to a message from Aito, asking if I'd like to come with him and Priscilla to an event downtown where they light an array of lanterns around the city and a big Christmas tree to kick off the holiday season. I loved Christmas, so I immediately sent a "Yes please!" in reply.
I stared at Kurapika's and my last conversation, frowning.
I shouldn't text first.
Perhaps I was too needy anyways. I had just spent an entire week with him, spent Thanksgiving with him, and went over to his house. He wasn't obligated to text me.
At least I had plans for the day, so I wouldn't be left alone overthinking. I proceeded to get ready, putting on a velvet crimson-colored dress, tights, a fur-trimmed black coat, and Doc Martens. Then, I did my makeup and hair. Satisfied with my look, I smiled.
Aito planned to pick me up at five, which was many hours away. I decided to pass time by brushing up on some Nen training.
I climbed back up to my favorite tranquil spot—the roof—and practiced my Ten, Zetsu, and Ren to the best of my ability before focusing on Satellite. I closed my eyes and thought of Hisoka. After a couple of minutes, it was decided that Hisoka had finally gotten rid of the satellite. It would now be harder to stay clear of him, but it wasn't a huge concern of mine because it didn't seem like he cared that much about Kurapika and I at the moment. If he was Kortopi's killer, he was probably focused on killing off the spiders. I highly doubted that he had even left Glam Gas Land.
I wonder if there's a way to strengthen Satellite.
While it is a great ability, the usefulness decreases quite a bit whenever someone discovers the satellite that is placed on them. If I placed a satellite on someone and then removed it before they discovered it, I could send another satellite their way at any time. However, if they were to discover it, I would never be able to place a satellite on them again. I was now unable to place a satellite on Antonio, Machi, or Hisoka again in this lifetime.
There must be some way around this. I should try to set a condition like the one I have with my Blood Moon ability.
I looked up at the cloudy sky and thought as hard as I could. If I were to set a condition to only be able to place satellites on people I was nearby, I would lose track of my enemies. No, not that, then.
Suddenly, it was like a lightbulb lit up above my head. I put into action the condition that for every ten seconds I looked through the view of a satellite, I would feel a flash of moderate pain. Not too extreme of a condition, I could handle it. From that point on, I would be able to place an infinite amount of satellites on any person regardless of if they were to crush the original satellite or not. I would just have to pay a small price.
