The dark interior of a limousine gave off a rather depressing—yet sophisticated—vibe as we were driven to the Princess Hotel. I was sitting snug in between Leorio and Gon, Killua next to Gon. Kurapika insisted on sitting in the passenger seat so that he could be sure Hisoka was taking us to the right place. The tinted window that was dividing us from the two in front was suddenly rolled down, causing Gon to flinch. Kurapika must've been the one to roll down the window, judging by the fact that Hisoka's head was facing the road and his hands were grasping the steering wheel.
"Hey, Hisoka, how did you get a limo anyway? Don't you have to call for one? Why are you the one driving it?" Killua questioned, a hint of suspicion in his tone.
"Yes~ That is how you get a limo. I simply killed the driver."
Leorio shot up from the seat, a mixture of what looked like anger and fear washing onto his face. "What the hell?!? You can't just kill people for no reason!"
"Did I not just explain my reasoning?"
Kurapika shook his head. "There is no use, Leorio. It's Hisoka, what did you expect?" Leorio grumbled one last time before plopping back onto the cushion, crossing his arms.
The car screeched to a quick stop, jostling everyone in their seats. I lifted the covering on the window behind me to see a huge rose-colored building. The hotel was very tall. Aside from the middle section of the building that I assumed to be the hotel lobby and rooms, there was another part that connected to this one, extending out into a large room with a circular roof.
That must be where the performance will be held.
"Here we are~" Hisoka announced, unbuckling his seatbelt. He took his phone out, his eyes immediately gluing to it.
I stood up—probably too fast. I fell back into the seat as my eyes closed on their own. I blinked to see Leorio's hand held out toward me.
"(Y/n)! Are you okay?"
"Yeah, yeah. Just a little nervous, that's it," I admitted. Leorio pulled me up with a warm smile and I stood back onto my feet. I noticed Kurapika standing outside of the vehicle, his hands in his pockets and his eyes narrowed. Leorio mouthed a "What?" to him and stepped out. Everyone—except for Hisoka, of course—was now crowded onto the sidewalk.
"Thanks for the ride!" Gon waved to the window. He flattened out the creases in his pink dress and followed Kurapika and me into the hotel, Killua and Leorio furthest behind. Two older men in tuxedos held the doors open, giving sweet smiles and nods to our group as we walked inside.
We turned to the left as soon as we entered the building, making our way into the convention area. A woman with glasses stopped us before we could enter.
"Hello! I'm gonna have to check your tickets—Oh wait! I forgot my clipboard. Excuse me, I'll go get it!" She quickly walked to the other side of the room, jostling around in a bag. Kurapika turned to face everyone and quickly tilted his head as if he were telling us to just come in.
There weren't very many people in the room, so Kurapika had to lead us into the furthest crowd, trying to blend us into the audience. I noticed the woman scurry back to the doorway with a clipboard in her hand. She stopped and huffed once she realized we were gone. As soon as she turned to get security, Killua was behind her. He pulled her into a corner, his hand now next to her neck.
I summoned a satellite and placed it on Killua to see what was happening. His fingernails were somehow manipulated and now very sharp. A single drop of blood fell onto the woman's shoulder.
"Move, and I'll kill you. Leave this building and never say a word about this situation. That's the only way I'll spare your life." He removed his hand and pushed the woman forward. She ran for the door, tears pooling in her eyes.
