the two are currently sitting on the couch, jisung is reading a book while chenle is stroking daegal's soft fur, and the small puppy is laying on his lap.

they just finished having dinner, and jisung has to cook food for his family— for them.

and chenle hasn't talked to jisung since the afternoon, his attention is focused on daegal and he's too shy to thank the younger. that's why the two of them are sitting on the couch without saying anything. meanwhile, the younger wants to ask chenle about school. they almost forgot about school, because they're too focused on each other. jisung also forgot that chenle has friends who are waiting and worried about him.

chenle heard jisung sigh so he stopped stroking daegal's fur, but he stayed silent. the small puppy on his lap whined when she felt the feeling of her owner's hand disappear.

"what is it?" the younger asked when he saw the smaller look at him, chenle shook his head. jisung let out a small smile, "okay then, i'll be going upstairs first. goodnight." and then he left.

the young male carried daegal and placed her on the donut pillow gently, making sure not to wake the small puppy up.

after that, he goes to the bathroom and locked the door. chenle opened the faucet and started washing his face with the water. after washing his face, he looked in the mirror.

his emotions are mixed, he doesn't know how to express them. especially when he's with jisung. he sometimes feels sad and angry, and sometimes he feels loved, he can see that the younger is trying his best to make him feel loved, he may find it weird but isn't that what he wanted? he wants to have a real friend after all. all of them are fake when chenle's around, and some of them are only nice because chenle is rich. his parents are busy with their work, renjun and donghyuck are the only friends he can trust, but they're also busy and chenle understands it.

earlier, when he saw jisung breaking down and holding a knife, he almost teared up and it breaks his heart. how can he do that to himself? he's too young and the pain is too much, chenle can't imagine having a cruel life like jisung. he's too young to experience all of these, he can't even live life because his parents kicked him out of the house and now he's suffering, he never felt love and that's the saddest.

kids and teens should have fun, not experience pain.

jisung is actually a good person, he's scary sometimes but he's good-hearted. how can someone hate a guy like jisung? he's so perfect, and he's like an angel. how can a good person receive some hate? he doesn't deserve any of these.

jisung really needs someone's love, he needs someone who he can trust, he needs someone who's always there for him.

he needs chenle.

chenle remembered that they both agreed to be friends, and now, chenle's plans are to take care of jisung and make the younger feel loved. that's what friends do, right?

jisung lay on his bed. he looked out the window as he admire the moon, and he started to overthink, again. he wants to hide under a big rock after what happened earlier, chenle caught him almost doing that and he's embarrassed. he doesn't want to show how bad is his life is, but he's also thankful that chenle is there to comfort him, if not, who knows, maybe he's already buried six feet in the ground.

he was about to close his eyes when he heard the door open, he knows that its chenle but he didn't dare to look and decided to just lay there and not to move.


"jisung-ah? are you asleep?" 

the said boy closed his eyes and pretends to sleep.
