Lock me down
Grab ahold of me
Show me how real love feels

"You know what I was thinking?" Mel wondered out loud as they were waiting for their leaders who called them to the meeting room.

    "Enlighten me." Eve sighed.

"When this is all over, let's stick together."

"Hmmm.. can my mate join us?"

    "Ugh!" Melione groaned, "Fine!"

"You're the best." Eve blew her a kiss.

"Ew," Mel crinkled her nose and leaned away from her friend, "Whatever."

Suddenly a male walked in causing a hush in the room, everyone stood up and greeted their master, including Melione.

"Good evening everyone, I called you all here because we have all been getting quite restless at the Volturi's lack of action in trying to stop us. So... after a lot of thinking I've decided that it's time we do something about that, since tomorrow will be the full moon we will be attacking them as soon as nighttime hits." He ended up causing a rush of murmurs to go through the room. "We will distract them by attacking their patrolling guards all around Volterra and then when they least expect it we'll go into their little castle and take them all out." He finished with a malicious glint in his eyes even making Mel shudder.

Mel felt her heart sink at these news, she stole a glance at Eve only to see her nodding along with the man as he was explaining their plan, and even though she didn't want to... she couldn't help but think about Alec, her mate and the fact that she might be living in a lie, and as much as she tried to stop herself from believing him she knew deep down that she was on the wrong side of this war. So when the meeting ended she left with only one thought clouding her mind, she had to warn Alec.

"Mel!" Eve shouted as she ran after her along with her mate.

Melione slowed down her steps until they were flanking her, "Look, I know you want us to join you after all of this but... what if we lose? Or worse, what if we win and we're no longer of use to him..."

This made the ancient vampire stop in her tracks as the couple faced her, they could see her red eyes lit up in determination as she leaned close to them whispering, "Nothing will happen to you two unless I have a say in it alright?" They gave her nods, she then leaned back and waved them off as if nothing happened, "Just focus on coming out of this alive, now run along, I have places to be." She dropped her indifferent look as soon as they were out of sight and let herself frown, Mel knew her master would dispose of the newborns as soon as they were no longer of use to him and this only made her sure that what she was planning on doing is the right move. Taking one last look around she sped off towards Volterra.

******************************

That night was extremely important in the castle, everyone was huddled around in the throne room waiting for Aro to finally announce what will happen and how they will deal with the current situation. "After Alec informed us of the name of the man responsible of all of this we were shocked and thought it would better not to tell you immediately before we were sure. But as the situation keeps getting worse we think you all deserve to know... if we're not mistaken this man called Kawan is only up to no good. This vile man was supposed to rule with us and at some point, we considered him our brother too but unfortunately, his thirst for power was too much as he used his power of mind control to turn us against each other. Which is why we banished him from Volterra."
