Back in the 800' A.D.:

Loud laughs could be heard in the forest as a light brown haired girl was getting chased by a boy around her age. "Alec stop!"

She came to a halt in front of the pond noticing her best friend picking up flowers, she ran up to her and hid behind her "Jane he's going to throw me in the water!" Her friend, instead of sticking up to her stepped aside with a small smile as Melione screamed in delight when she was tackled to the ground by Alec.

"Oh come on! Why Jane?!"

"Because I would be in your place right now if I didn't step away." Said the young blond with a laugh. Melione wasn't listening though, she was too busy trying to push Alec off of her who had started to tickle her.

"I'm so close to punching you!" She snapped between laughs

"I'd like to see you try." He said standing up and then walking over to his sister that was standing right by the pond now.

The twins and Melione has been friends for three years by then, and even though she lost all her old friends from her village because of that, she couldn't care less, because those two were all the friends she really needed.

Mel shot him a glare and rushed over to him saying "Not fair! You're not even ticklish!" That's when she came up with an idea.

"It's not my fault I'm born this way Lione." She crept closer to him and pushed him into the pond, but that attempt backfired as he grabbed her before falling and pulled her with him.

Mel shot out of the water and screamed in shock, while Alec was laughing at her, she pushed him causing the boy to fall back into the water.

From her spot, Jane was watching them with a knowing smile tugging on her lips.

Mel watched with anticipation as the newborn began to get a grasp on how to control her shield. She was perched up on a tree sitting between the two Romanians.

"I think she needs something to motivate her." Said Kate.

Mel nodded in agreement and gave her best friend a nonchalant look "Edward"

"No" Bella protests as her husband stepped forward.

"It's alright I can take it."

"He says that now" said the nomad she still had to learn the name of.

"Focus Bella, or he's going to be hurting." Commented Emmett.

"Edward I'm not ready to do this yet!" Exclaimed the young vampire a second too late just as a wave of electric shocks went through his body and made him crumble to his knees in pain.

Melione let out a booming laugh that probably rivaled Emmett's, "I'm sorry I said I wasn't ready." Bella protested.

"Dude you aren't motivating her."

"You want to try!?" Edward exclaimed at his brother who held up his hands defensively.

"Kate." Bella growled as her husband was on the ground hissing in pain, yet again.

"You seem to lack incentive, should I go and see if Renesmee is awake?" Taunted the blonde.

"Are you crazy?!" Snapped the mother.

"Now that's what I call motivation." Commented Mel, earning a glare from Edward and a chuckle from Stefan.

"Alright, this one's on full power." Edward gave his wife a pleading look as he offered Kate his hand.

The old vampire tilted her head in curiosity as she saw nothing happen, she could feel Kate's powerful shocks radiating off, and watched the newborn in awe.

"It's painful but bearable."

Bella nodded in excitement and said "Let's do it again."

"Emmett?" The bulky vampire stuttered before replying "I'm good."

Mel said between fake coughs "Chicken"

"Hey!" Protested her childish friend.

She jumped down landing next to Bella "If you train well enough, soon you might be able to project it wherever you want."

"How? Can you show me?" She turned around and faced another nomad that was chilling on a branch, she then felt her power surge through her body as a shadowy pair of hands appeared behind the vampire and pulled him backwards causing him to fall.

She walked over to the man after giving Bella a satisfied grin, and helped him up, "My apologies um...?"

"Alistair." Said the man not knowing if he should gape at her or just glare "And it's fine, what an interesting gift you have."

She nodded at him in thank you and turned back to Bella who exclaimed "That was amazing."

"Well I hope you will be able to do that too someday...minus the hands...and the black but for now focus on training your power a little more." She said with a chuckle as she walked back into the house, and sat on the couch lost in her thoughts.
