"My soul chose yours, and a soul doesn't just forget that."Jane was worried. Worried for her brother, who became a worse version of Marcus. She had to admit Melione's return took its toll on her too and couldn't blame him. Vampires have been coming up the castle's step randomly after Aro called them including some that Melione asked to come help. It was shocking how much she knew people, well it wasn't really that shocking, she always had people dying to be friends with her throughout all of their human lives. And yet she still chose her and her brother.
She was standing on her usual spot right next to Aro's throne when the doors opened. Jane couldn't help but roll her eyes as soon as the Cullens were escorted in. "What a wonderful surprise!" Aro exclaimed, his eyes on Alice. "To what do we owe the visit."
"It's actually a who, Melione informed us about the current...situation, and asked us to help." The patriarch, Carlisle spoke up. 'Of course, she did." Jane thought exasperated earning a smirk from Edward.
"Marvelous! And where is little Renesmee?"
"She is staying with some friends until we go back to Forks," Edward spoke up referring to his daughter's imprint.
"Shame, I was looking forward to chatting with her. Well, thank you for your help, Jane could you show our guests to their rooms."
"Of course," The blonde gave a reluctant nod, before walking out of the room without checking if their following. Jane hated that 'family', they went against their nature as vampires, 'Mel could have done better.' She thought.
"Maybe she could have, but of course it's Mel, always befriending the wrong people." Edward retorted. Jane stopped abruptly, the family doing the same.
She raised her head, "Come again?" Jane taunted turning around slowly.
"I'm sure Edward didn't mean anything by that. Right son?" Carlisle stepped up giving the bronze haired vampire who nodded slightly after seeing his father figure's pointed look
"Good." The ancient vampire said before starting to walk again the Cullens trailing behind.
She opened a huge door leading to a suite, "Enjoy your stay, head for the throne room as soon as you settle in, Aro wants to discuss battle plans." Jane started heading to the doors again, "And I suggest you watch your words, this time you don't have an army backing you up." She added before leaving.
When everyone was back in the throne room, each coven standing in a group around the circular room Aro noted out, "Where's Alec?" He was looking at his elite guard waiting for an answer. "Master he has been disappearing out of nowhere ever since his arrival from Romania."
"I know where he is Master," Jane said before advancing forward and offering her hand. The king gave a nod and said, "Go find him, my dear."
As she passed the lobby her eyes fell on the secretary, and an idea popped in her head, the blonde stalked to the table and tapped on it studying the scared woman, "I want you to find me a number that called the castle a few days ago."
=======
"What is it, Jane?" Alec spoke up, not bothering to turn around. He sensed his sister as soon as she joined him on the roof.
"I have something for you." She said approaching him, Jane tapped his back and waited as he turned around slowly. When he was facing her fully she held up a paper and waved it around. "You have your phone with you?"
