"There is only you
Every time we are together
I fill myself up with you
So there is no more room for anyone else."

Jacob walked over to Benjamin and his mate, and chucked a pile of wood on the ground as the vampire used his power over the elements to get the fire burning bright.

"That's what I'm talking about. A little pre-battle bonfire. Telling war stories." Jacob trailed off while rubbing his hands only to be disappointed by the sight before him. "Or just standing there like freaking statues."

The nomad whose name turned out to be Garett sped over to a log and challenged "Name any American battle. I was there."

"The little big horn."

The tall vampire sighed "I came this close to biting Custer," he indicated with his fingers, "but the Indians got him first."

His newly found mate sped over to his lap "Try Oleg's assault on Constantinople, he didn't win that one on his own."

"If we're talking battles, we're talking eleven year's war. No one does a rebellion like the Irish." Said a member of the Irish coven, Melione by then had stopped listening to their conversation and looked at the young child she was sitting next to in the tent with a fond look.

Renesmee having grown to love her new aunt wanted her around all the time, not that Mel was complaining, the little kid reminded her of her old friend, Jane, when she was still human, so calm but so fun to be around. She smiled as memories from her childhood came rushing back to her.

Around the 800' A.D.:

"Hey Melione?" Asked the young blonde, the trio were playing hide and seek, Jane and Melione who have been hiding for quite a while from Alec, were sitting in a bush and slowly starting to get bored and found themselves having small conversations.

"Yes?"

"Why do we see you mostly at night? You're rarely outside your home in the daytime."

"I don't like the sun," stated Mel  "People fear the night, but they have no idea of how beautiful it truly is, that...light always sends me waves of disorientation and thoughtfulness that only seems to go away when I see the stillness of the dark sky. I do go out in the day sometimes, but I stay in the woods, you and Alec just don't see me because you stay in the village to help your mother."

Just as Jane was about to answer her best friend she was cut off by Alec whose head popped up in the bush and said "You guys talk too loudly."

All of the witnesses were now sitting around the fire hearing the Romanians talk. "When we ruled everything came to us. Prey, diplomats, favor seekers. Such was our power. But we never put on pointy hats and called ourselves saints." Vladimir began.

"We were honest about what we were." Continued Stefan.

"We sat still for a very long time. We didn't notice we were starting to petrify."

"Perhaps the Volturi did us a favor when they burned our castles."

"I believe so too Dracula," Said Melione having just appeared out of a swirl of darkness, sitting on the ground in front of the Romanians, surprising the covens around her, "As much as you hate to admit it Vladimir, you guys were really bad leaders," the ancient vampire stared at the flames in front of her, before continuing "The Volturi may have burned your castles to the ground and killed a lot of our loved ones, but they are the necessary evil of the vampires, without them we would be living in total chaos."
