A million times over,
I'll always choose you
tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap.
These were the sounds of the several loud footsteps that were approaching the throne room at an alarming speed causing the guards present there to share looks of confusion, and then the loud sound, 'CLANK!' of the doors slamming open caused the once confused occupants of the room to stand in defense ready to attack only to be met by some familiar people wearing the Volturi necklace.
"Master!" The person possibly leading the small group shouted as they burst through the door.
"What are you doing here? You're supposed to be guarding the border for god's sake!" Caius boomed.
"A shadow! A shadow appeared before me claiming to be sent by Miss Villin warning me that the army has marched towards us and that a group of newborns will be surrounding us to take us out quickly and quietly in the matter of hours!"
"Lionne." Alec muttered, dread filling his stomach.
"Come closer child." Aro held his hand out for the man to take. Several seconds that felt like an eternity passed before the king let go his eyes darkening as the severity of the situation dawned on him, "Guards," He said sharply, looking around the room, "Go fetch every ally present inside and outside the castle. It's time."

Alec paced back and forth in the throne room, pausing only to throw glares at every person whose whispers would start to overwhelm him in the slightest bit. He would look up quickly each time the doors would open, wondering each time if it would be Melione walking through them. Suddenly, he felt a light touch on his shoulder causing him to get so startled he grabbed the hand and pinned it behind the persons back.
"Alec!" Jane exclaimed.
"Oh, it's you." Alec said, the words barely getting out, feeling as if everything he wanted to say was balling up in his throat, even hurting him physically, begging to get out. "...I'm sorry, let me see your arm." He held his sister's arm up to his face inspecting it for any sign of cracks in the skin.
"I'm fine Alec." She moved her arm away rubbing it slightly before leaning in slightly and whispering so no one but her brother could hear her, "But you aren't."
"Don't worry about me, I'm okay," He whispered back, only to cut himself off when he noticed Jane's eyebrow raise in disbelieve, "I'm serious sister, I'm fine. It's just-" He hesitated, looking around the room.
Jane sighed before grabbing a hold of his sleeve and tugging on it slightly, "Come on, lets go find some privacy." She dragged him along into the now deserted library locking the door behind her before turning around and saying, "Tell me what's wrong."
"I'm worried, okay? I feel like I'm suffocating! That's how worried I am, Jane!" He exclaimed, "She's I don't know where, doing I don't know what and I have no clue of where she is and I'm going mad! She could get caught at any given moment and I won't even know!" He gripped his head pulling on his hair as if that would help calming down his nerves.
