It's a short one... again.
Sorry!

"It's so sad, that even now, even after everything, it's still you, I still want it to be you."

Around the 800s A.C:

"Alec," Mel whispered as she searched for him in the forest. She whipped around when she heard some rustling behind her only to find nothing.

"You're starting to scare me." Mel almost whimpered, only to scream in fear when a familiar pair of arms wrapped around her.

"I hate you." She pouted, refusing to meet his eyes when he turned her around.

Alec's grip tightened around her burying his head in her neck, "Sorry." He chuckled breathlessly, "I couldn't hold myself." And when the stubborn girl refused to respond he added, "I love you."

"Forever?"

"Forever." He promised pecking her lips.

Oh, if only he knew. He would've made sure everything would be different. Sometimes when the loneliness became too much, he would imagine her sitting on his old bed with her messy hair, shouting some indignant words at him just like she always did. Those visions were the only things that kept him sane throughout the years without her.

"Jane." Alec sighed running a hand through his hair before starting to knock on his sister's door again. The blonde had been a totally different person after Lionne's disappearance, and wasn't talking with anyone, Alec included.

"Fine then." He said kicking the door down to the floor, Alec came into the room, only find his sister curled up on her bed, and for the first time since they lost their humanity she looked... vulnerable.

"It's my fault." She whispered.

He leaned on the bed, "What do you mean?"

"I shouldn't have let her go again, I should have stayed and helped." Jane started dry sobbing, "I lost her, again. And I had the nerve to blame her all along."

Alec frowned opening his sister's drawer and taking out the bracelet matching his that Mel made them promise to never lose them. He climbed onto the bed taking her into his arms after slipping the bracelet hand. "It's going to be alright. We'll find her." He shushed her rocking her tiny body in his arms.

"I don't get why we don't just ask Demetri to help." Daniel was getting deeply annoyed, he just wanted his coven leader back and it was obvious the Romanians were feeling the same. They had searched all of Italy and even arrived beyond its borders.

"You seem to forget that no matter how close you are to him, he's still one of Aro's puppets and will obviously run back to him as soon as we tell him about what we're doing." Vladimir snapped.

"Alec didn't say anything though." He whined.

"He's head over heels for her, I'm sure even his loyalty to the Volturi can't surpass that. And it's not like he's searching with us anyways." Stefan retorted.

"Whatever," Dan muttered, playing with his new coven crest. He had been so excited to form an amazing coven with Mel one just like the... Cullens. His head suddenly snapped up as he came up with an idea. "Oh my god, that's it!" He shouted running towards the castle.

"What is it?!"

"Just follow me!"

====================

"Absolutely not." Edward finalized.

"Come on Edward! She's your best friend!" Dan almost shouted.

"I'm not roaming around Demetri's head until he finally decides to track her down."

"He already knows where she is. Come on now, it's Demetri, he's definitely checking on her tenor every now and then out of curiosity."

"As dumb as this plan sounds I think it's our last resort." Stefan shrugged.

"And what if Aro reads my mind?"

"Why would he? You can avoid him until they find her just in case."

"Fine." He said giving in to his friend's begging stares.

"Thank you!" Dan tackled him in a hug.

"Update us as soon as you find anything that could help." Edward nodded in acknowledgment before going to find Demetri.

"I hope this works." Said, Vladimir.

Damn, I miss Mel lmao. Don't worry though she'll be back soon!
