Fight for your fairytale.Putting her poker face on, Mel penetrated the underground base looking around trying to find someone, but she couldn't even finish her task before she was flocked by vampires asking her for advice on the war or just wanting help in general.
Getting frustrated she stood still for a second and said with a sigh, "Oh, for the love of all that is good and pure will you just shut up?" As soon as the newborns followed her order she asked again, "Now where's that arse Jackson?" She looked around at the many faces that only blinked back at her and groaned in frustration, "You know what? Don't worry about it I'll find him myself."
As she practically ran around the base in search of the power blocker, she ran into Eve who had just walked out of the training room, as soon as she saw her she exclaimed, "Mel where have you been?! Thought you ran away for a second there."
"Oh no, I was just doing some last checkups for Kawan. Speaking of checkups have you seen Jackson? I need to follow up on something with him."
Eve crinkled her eyebrows in an attempt to think better, "Maybe Kawan has him in the furthest room in the base again so he doesn't turn his powers on by accident and disturb our training?"
"He's there, I just went and fed him. I honestly don't find it fair how he gets to feed as much as he likes and we don't." Thomas said as he walked up to them.
"Master obviously wants him to be fully energized." Eve rolled her eyes as if the idea annoyed her.
"Well we are a part of the army too, does he want his warriors to be drained before even starting the war?" He whispered low enough so only the two girls could listen to him.
Mel raised an eyebrow at that, could it be that they didn't support Kawan as much as they wanted everyone to think they did? Could she maybe... tell them? She shook her head, no, she couldn't risk ruining the plan when all this mess was so close to ending. So, she gestured for them to huddle around her and settled on saying, "Do you trust me?"
The couple shared a glance before looking back at her, "Of course we do... why wouldn't we?" Eve inquired.
"In that case, I want you two to not be too quick to judge okay? And if you want you could even follow my lead."
"Mel... you're starting to scare me. What are you on about?"
"Is there something you want to tell us?" Eve sized her up suspicion in her eyes.
Suddenly a loud voice boomed across the whole base stating that it was time, and Mel straightened up starting to run off leaving the duo behind her, "Just trust me!" She shouted over her shoulder.

Approaching the furthest room in the base, she ruffled through her pockets fishing out a huge key chain, and after hurriedly picking through it she found the key she was looking for and opened up the locked door.
Poking her head into the room, she tried hesitantly, "Jackson? You there? Yoo-hoo?"
"Where could I possibly be?" A voice from the corner of the isolated room snapped.
"Well if you turned out not to be here then that would be bad." He growled in response, "Are you ready for this?"
The man suddenly appeared in front of her, "Of course not, but I'm ready to blow some steam off so let's go." He started to walk out of the room.
Melione followed suit, and as they walked through the long hallway she curled her hands into fists as the shadows in the room started to pulse, begging to be let out, it was now or never, she picked up her pace to catch up to him holding her hands up ready to wrap them around his neck, and when she was just an inch away from him a voice from the end of the hallway suddenly said.
"Why are you out of your room Jack? Wait, Mel?"
She hurriedly shoved her hands in her pockets acting nonchalant as they approached him, "Rufus, I was just getting our little weapon out."
The blonde man narrowed his eyes in suspicion, "Weird because I was sent to do the same."
"Is that so? Well, that's weird indeed. Maybe Kawan had forgotten he had sent me," She walked forward until she was pressed against him trailing her fingers along his chest, "Our poor master has been overworking himself recently."
Rufus too mesmerized by Mel stammered out, "M-M-Maybe you're right after all."
"Of course I'm right," She brushed her nose against his, cringing internally at the disgust she felt doing so, "I'm going to leave him in your capable hands then."
She sighed acting sad that she had to leave him and pushed away from her old childhood friend, only to be grabbed by her wrist and pulled back into Rufus' waiting arms, he leaned into her sniffing her hair before whispering in her ear, "When this is over I was thinking we could go spend a few months in an island far away from here, make up for all that time we lost." He finished, meeting her eyes again with a wink.
Trying not to shiver at the horrible thought of being left alone with him she whispered back, "I'd very much like that."
He finally let her go, not before kissing her cheeks, and told her, "Now go, the sooner this ends the sooner we can depart to our much-needed vacation."
Giving him a fake smile, she flashed out of the room and reappeared outside with the rest of the newborns. Standing in the middle of the massive group was Kawan a sickening grin on his face, he cleared his throat loudly and only started talking when he had the attention of everyone, "After months and months of training and getting the right number of warriors we needed ... I believe that we are finally ready to march towards Volterra, and with your help, I will finally be able to get what is rightfully mine!" He ended loudly. And as soon as he said that everyone present started to cheer so loudly Mel was starting to feel overwhelmed.
"Enough!" He shouted, making the whole clearing go silent, "I have already sent a group of people to get rid of the patrolling guards. As soon as we enter Volterra, I want you all to attack everything that comes your way, from humans to vampires, at the sounds of the screams of agony of their people the Volturi will just have to intervene." A wave of excited murmurs went around the clearing, Eve and Thomas joined her side.
"Aren't we supposed to keep the vampire world secret from humans?" Inquired Eve.
"Yes but I guess that isn't going to be part of his laws if he rules," Mel answered not even sparing them a glance as she spotted Jackson entering the clearing with Rufus, she had to think quick.
"On that happy note I think we are ready to march towards Volterra and of course, we have to be quick before the full moon is out. Guards! Release the werewolves!"
