"When your eyes met mine, my soul pointed at you and whispered to my heart,
'Him..' "
If her body wasn't literally made of stone, it would've all been aching by then. In an attempt to avoid Alec she had spent all of the next day training and getting prepared for the fight coming up soon. And instead of resting, she was now being escorted to the kings' library by Felix and Demetri.
The double doors opened letting Melione stride in, she takes a look around the room her eyes resting on Alec a little longer before joining Daniel's side.
"What did I miss?" She asked him.
"Nothing important... I think." He smiled innocently earning an eye roll from the ancient vampire.
"Our enemies are getting too silent, to say the least, it's like they disappeared off the face of the earth." Caius starts.
"Maybe they just don't want to attack us anymore," Daniel suggested.
"I don't believe that's likely to happen," The blonde leader spits back, "They have obviously been preparing for quite some time, it's probably part of their plan, which is why we have to be extra careful and up our security. Our guard isn't enough so we will need the help of some of you." He said.
"I'll patrol." Mel shrugs.
"No, you won't," Alec states crossing his arms.
"Oh, and why is that?" She raises an eyebrow.
"It's too dangerous."
Melione narrowed her eyes at him "I'm sorry but since when did you get the right to make decisions for me?"
Before Alec could answer her Jane marched up to the kings clearing her throat slightly, "Masters may I be excused?" She asked, leaving the room as soon as Aro nodded at her in confusion.
Mel frowned as she watched her childhood friend's retreating figure, she knew something was bothering Jane and didn't like the idea of her leaving alone, knowing very well that the blonde had a habit of overthinking. Mel groaned knowing that she wouldn't be able to stop herself.

And there she was, in an alley in Volterra watching Jane's back intently, waiting for her to talk.
"Do you remember," The blonde broke the silence, "Back when we were younger, you had this habit of dragging us out of our house in the middle of the night?"
Mel chuckled softly, "How could I not?"
"There was that one time where you barged in instead and started rambling about a moving star, you didn't calm down until Alec took you outside and started telling you about them."
Her heart fluttered as the memory resurfaced in her mind.
Around the 800s A.D.:
"Jane, Alec!" Melione ran in just as the night began.
The twins ran over to her, Alec checking her over for any injuries, "What happened?!"
"S-Star, m-moving... st-star... the star is moving." She panted.
"Are you serious?" Jane grinned walking outside. "Mother! Look!"
"I saw it darling." Their mother chuckled.
