You have me,
Until every last star in the galaxy dies,
You have me.

She disappeared after trying to help and teach them how to defend themselves, so that's exactly what he did. He drowned himself with work and then with training. And that was what Daniel saw him doing when he barged in with Edward.

"Follow us, now!" Dan shouted before leaving the room.

Shaking his head in confusion he followed them into the woods, where he found the rest of the Cullens and the Romanians waiting for them too.

      "What happened?" Alec asked.

"He tracked her down." Edward finally said suddenly making him more interested in the conversation.

"Where is she?" He asked almost frantically, "We have to go get her now."

"It's not that easy. The base is underground. Who knows what might be happening down there."

Everyone stayed quiet, not knowing what to do until Vladimir spoke up, "We could still go check the place out, just to have an idea of what we're dealing with. Me and Stefan will definitely go."

      "So will I," Daniel said.

"Count me in," Alec said after a few moments of silence.

"I'll come too." Edward stepped up.

"No, you should stay here. We can't afford Aro suspecting you, he's already observing your family too much."

Carlisle put his hand on his adoptive son's shoulder giving him a pleading look. Edward glared at Alec before muttering a small "Fine."and stomped away, the rest of the family following him after wishing the small group good luck on their mission.

"Ready to go?" Vladimir asked and walked away after the rest nodded.

======================

"Edward said that it's at the end of the woods, in a small clearing," Daniel informed them.

"That could be anywhere." Stefan muttered before continuing, "You should have let him come with us, Volturi."

"His family has already been in a lot of danger because of us, let them live in at least some peace, that's all she ever wished for." He ended in a whisper.

They continued their way through the woods in complete silence no one daring to break it and when the trees started to become lesser and lesser they finally stopped. "We should start walking around now, they could be anywhere, watch out for your surroundings and listen attentively for any strange sounds coming from below."

As they were walking around the edge of the woods, Alec stopped in his tracks, he glanced at the Romanians who shared a knowing look with him, they were being watched. That's when her intoxicating smell penetrated his nostril. He
didn't even have time to react before he was slammed to a nearby tree by Melione herself.

Alec couldn't even start to describe relieved he was when he saw her alive and well, but something was wrong, he knew it from the disgusted look she held in her now darker eyes. "You." She muttered and with a flick of her hand their own shadow emerged from the ground dragged the rest of the group away.

"Lionne...?" He whispered hesitantly, and watched as her eyes glossed over at the mention of that name, she then slammed him again on the tree as soon as she snapped out of her daze.

"What are you doing here?" She snarled.

"What do you mean? We've been looking for you everywhere, we're here to take you back home."

"What home?" She asked angrily. But before he could answer her face turned to one of confusion as she finally took a whiff of air. She started looking around, trying to find the source of that beautiful smell, her eyes then zeroed in on him and she leaned forward, sniffing his shirt and then his neck.

"Impossible..." She said, surprised, placing her tiny hand tenderly on his cheek, taking in his features as if she was trying to memorizing them.

"What is?" A voice suddenly asked, making Mel jumping away from him in surprise. Alec's attention snapped from his former lover to a man who appeared out of nowhere behind them.

"Nothing Master," Melione said in respect, bowing her head, before moving to join Rufus' side who had just arrived.

Rufus snorted after taking one glance at Alec, "This situation reminds me of that one night we tied him and his siter to a tree and left them to rot. Doesn't it darling." He finished, nudging Mel.

She smirked hesitantly, "Of course I do, what was the girl's name again?"

"I believe it was Jane."

Alec frowned, 'that night'? The only time they were tied on a tree she had saved them. And how come she didn't know Jane's name? Maybe she was tricking the enemy, but the situation seemed too weird to be just that.

"You two may go now." And as if he was controlling them like robots, they were leaving. Melione gave him one last strange look before she disappeared after Rufus.

"No! Bring her back! She's coming home with me." Alec shouted starting to walk in her direction before he was stopped by the man's voice again.

"I wouldn't suggest you do that. You see, Melione only knows you as the person that caused her to become a vampire." He smirked.

"What did you do to her?!"

"Oh nothing much, just the usual shenanigan, taking her memories out and replacing them with some I think would make her want to stay with me yada yada yada."

Alec was seething by then, "I'll kill you!"

"I wouldn't suggest you try anything of the sort, I would hate to see dear Melione go, I've grown quite attached to her." He said with a mocking voice placing a hand over his heart.

"What do you want?" Alec muttered, barely able to contain his anger.

"I want you to tell Aro that Kawan is coming and that I'll be taking back what's rightfully mine." He ended the sentence in a hysterical laugh and Alec couldn't miss the crazed look he held in his eyes. "I already sent the other idiots on their way you can catch up to them or something."  The man said turning around and starting to walk away.

"What about Melione? I'll do what you asked just give her back. Or take me instead." He said in a voice that he thought would hold confidence but just ended up in a whimper.

He tsked, "I think I'll pass. She's much more useful to me at the moment."

Alec fell on his knees as the man disappeared from his view, he had enough. It was like his world crumbled down completely.

      So he screamed.

He screamed so loud he felt like his lungs would collapse.
