MY EXAMS ARE OVER! WOOHOO!
Summer holidays have started but honestly, I don't even feel like it because I never even felt like I had exams...
Kay and I had got back on track with training the team. I had to say, they were way better now. I just wasn't sure it'd be enough for Coach Misty.
During Basketball practice, coach told us he'd be judging whether we'd be able to compete in the Girls Basketball League.
There was one problem.
He wasn't the only one judging. Our principal was also there. Turns out she was also gonna judge. Hot soup.
She was Courtney's mom. She probably had high standards. We only had a fifty percent chance of making it to signing up.
"Today you guys will show us whether you have improved. If you all have, then a big welcome to the Girls' Basketball League. Otherwise..." Coach stopped midway.
"Otherwise," the principal started.
"-You'll know later," Coach cut her off.
What was she going to say? It was so annoying that they started their sentences but never finished. I hated it when people did that. It got on my nerves.
We quickly did some jogging and warmed up.
We were getting ready to practice our shots when the principal stopped us.
"No normal practice today," she said.
"What?" Kaycee asked.
"You'll only be playing a match."
"But we need some practice before that..." Kay argued.
"I only want to see you guys play a match," she commanded. "Make your teams quickly! Come on chop chop! I don't have all day!"
We huddled in a group and quickly decided the teams.
It was Claire, Leslie, Mia, Lupe and me versus Aliya, Roselle, Mia, Evie and Kaycee.
