When I came home after school on Friday, my mom asked if she could talk to me.
"Sure."
I quickly freshened up and went to the kitchen to grab something to eat since I was hungry. I made a sandwich and went back towards my mom.
"What did you want to talk to me about?" I asked her.
"I don't want you to freak out, okay?"
"Um... Well that depends on what you're gonna tell me..."
"So... You know how Cole and I have been dating for quite sometime right?"
Cole? Oh right, he was mom's boyfriend who I had gotten used to calling 'Blake's dad'.
"Well, it's been almost a month and a half since we've been dating..."
"A month?! But we've only been here for two months!"
"Yes well I didn't really tell you when I started dating him..."
"So you hid this for like a month and a half! That's impressive mom," I said sarcastically.
"I'm really sorry Syddie..." She apologised. "Anyway, back to what I was telling you... He actually... Um..."
"That wasn't what your wanted to tell me?Well then, what is it?" I asked impatiently.
"Okay I'll get straight to it. He proposed to me yesterday!" She said nervously and showed me the ring.
I stood with my mouth wide open.
"WHAT?! And you said yes?! Who proposes to someone after only knowing them for a month and a half! I'm sorry mom, I would support you if this was reasonable but this action had no thinking behind it. I mean what was he thinking! I bet he barely knows anything about you!"
