I had no idea where to go. I mean, the place I was going to go to was Scream-in-beans but Drake said that wasn't far enough. I just rode to my house and stopped outside.
"You live in an apartment?" He asked and laughed.
I didn't know what that laugh was for but since he was still a little drunk and injured I let it go.
"Where do you expect me to go?" I asked.
"I don't know..."
"Who are you even running from?" I asked him.
"Doesn't matter. I think this is far enough though. They won't find me here."
"They? It's plural? Drake I got you far from them. I think you owe me an explanation."
"Oh my god Raven! Can't you just back off?"
Okay, I thought I was supposed to be mad. He was the one who sat on my motorcycle and commanded me to get far away.
I scanned the road for my mom's car but it wasn't there. Where had she gone now?
My phone started ringing and I took it out of my pocket and saw that it was my mom.
"Hey Syddie," she said.
"Hey mom, your car's not here. Are you even home?" I asked.
"Actually I'm not. Look it was very last minute but you know the guy I'm dating right? Well, he wanted to take me out on a date tonight. He changed the time to a little earlier though. I should hopefully be there by ten, don't sleep cause I'll ring the bell. Will you be fine at home alone?"
"Yeah mom, go enjoy," I said and laughed before cutting the call.
"Oh yeah, what were you saying? You were asking me to back off?! If you don't remember, you were the one who wanted my motorcycle! You're the one who's standing in front of my house right now! You're the one who followed me outside the tent! You're the one who made me get into the water with you! You're the one who had for some reason changed your seat from shotgun to the back while coming back from the creek! And I wish to know how when I was sleeping outside, I woke up in the car, sleeping on your lap! I just don't understand why you can't back off! And here you are telling me to back off! Why can't you do a simple thing?!"
