Chapter 28 song
~Walking in the Wind (One Direction)It was the day most anticipated. I had had to wake up at seven o'clock which sucks cause I don't ever wake up that early. My mom was dropping me off at school. "Take care okay? Call me twice a day - once in the morning and once before you sleep," She told me. She looked stressed. "Relax mom, I'll call you every day. Love you," I said and she replied with a 'love you' and a completely crushing hug.
We were going to New York.
Everyone was so excited that you could hear the happy chattering of students. It was a Saturday so only our grade was here. Usually, schools would have just over 100 students per grade in high school but our school had only around 95. Most people were coming but not all, so around 90 people were at school that day. We were filling up most of the space in the plane to fly there. I caught sight of Kaycee and she looked at me the same time I looked at her. We ran to each other.
"Dude!!! I'm so excited!!!" She yelled like a 3-year-old getting a new toy car set.
"I know right! I can't wait to get to New York!" I yelled like another 3-year-old.
We heard one of the teachers yell through a mic that we were all supposed to assemble around her. She started, "I hope you all know that New York was a big decision for us and you guys are going to the best location our school has ever chosen. It's also a big city with many people and I hope you guys don't get lost. We always have a few rules when going on a school trip. I want you all to pay attention.
Rule 1 - Always stay in your group with your teacher and do not divert from them.
Rule 2 - I hope you remember the basic rules in an aircraft, so no mobile phones during landing and takeoff.
Rule 3 - No trying to sneak out of your rooms at night. Trust me, we know it happens very often.
Rule 4 - For lunch, we will be handing you each ten dollars and you can go to any restaurant in that location - this is the only time you can be without your teachers - and you have to tell us which restaurant you are going to and then leave.
