Chapter 58: The beginning Of Soulmates

The next morning, you girls did your normal routine as usual so the boys wouldn't suspect anything, though you could feel Reap and Cheshire watching you girls closely from the kitchen. You were a little worried Cheshire knew you girls sneaked out, which means he must've told his brother as well. However, he didn't know where you girls went, the piece of information he wanted to know for sure.

You whimpered a little as you drank your coffee. You were a little worried about confronting Cash. Maybe Mae was right? You guys should tell Sans, though Suzy didn't look bothered at all. She was determined to get information out of the money loving skeleton, no matter what.

At the moment, Suzy was in the living room playing with Rosita. Damn, you could feel her strength from the way she played tug of war with the dog.

You quickly walked over to Suzy, coffee in hand. "Suzy, where's Mae?" You whispered.

Suzy looked over to you as she still tugged at Rosita's toy. "She's talking to Raven and explaining what's happening." She whispered back.

"I think Cheshire and Reap are on to us."

Suzy rolled her eyes. "No shit. Cheshire has been watching me and Mae like a hawk. It's creepy." She mumbled.

You nodded, "Yeah, Reap's been watching me too... Maybe we shouldn't go?"

Suzy frowned. She knew going behind the skeletons back was dangerous, but this was for your sake. The more you knew about Ego, the more advantage you'd have once you gained your full soul powers to stop her for good. If she hasn't drowned that is.

"No, we're going!" Suzy shouted. You flinched, even if she did it by accident. She just wanted to protect you so you wouldn't end up hurt like she was by Killer.

"Girls, are ya ok?" Skullface asked in concern from the kitchen.

"Yeah, we're fine..." You smiled over to Skullface, who nodded and went back to reading his paper. Suzy scoffed, and you frowned. "Would you stop being a pain... I know what you're trying to do, Suzy." You said in not a very happy tone.

"Oh really, and what's that Y/N?"

"I'm not stupid. You're trying to protect me because we all know now Ego is just after me out of the three of us."

Suzy sighed, "I just... don't want you hurt like I was by Killer. If I didn't have a strong soul... I would be dead." You hugged Suzy. She was just scared that if Ego attacked you, she would instantly kill you...

It scared you too, but you knew you were well protected by many skeletons and your two best friends. You just hoped your soul powers would come sooner so you could protect everyone you loved just as much as they want to protect you. Suzy was just worried for you, Mae and the skeletons were her only family after all. You gave her a reassuring smile. "I'll be fine, don't worry."

"Ehh. You better lass." Suzy smirked. Heh, there's the Suzy you knew.

"Suzy, Y/N...." You and Suzy jumped at the echoing displeased voice of Cheshire. You both turned around.

Cheshire was standing in the hallway, Mae next to him looking sorry for herself. You felt the blood drain from your face. Cheshire looked pissed.

"Aw... fuck. We're dead. He knows, of course he does." Suzy mumbled as you both started to walk over to Cheshire and Mae.

"Follow me. We need to talk..." he mumbled as he floated towards the basement with you girls following behind.

You turned to Mae and asked her what happened. "Mae, what happened? I thought you were going to the bird brothers so they could help us?" You whispered over.
