Chapter 49: Home Sweet Home

It was the last day at the farm brothers' beautiful home. You were a bit sad in leaving, but of course, you all had to get back now that Suzy's bones were finally fully healed. Anyway, she wanted to see what mess the rest of the skeletons back home had made, heh.

You girls were wearing your new hanfu outfits today, Suzy surprisingly loving hers even though it looked a little bit like a dress. The boys seemed to like them, so you guessed you looked pretty decent, and you weren't gonna lie, you felt a little pretty too. You were in the room you share with Berry, packing your stuff up. Berry was doing the same on his side.

You looked over your shoulder at Berry whilst he packed his things and you pouted. You still needed answers from him, he hasn't really spoken to you much ever since you two shared a bed. You zipped up your suitcase and walked over to him, tapping him on the shoulder. "WHAT IS IT HUMAN!? CAN'T YOU SEE I'M BUSY- " Berry froze as you sat on his bed, arms and legs crossed. A light blush appeared on his face as his eye lights trailed up your legs to your pouting face. He immediately bit his tongue, this wasn't like him at all.

But ever since you hugged him from behind that night... he couldn't stop himself from thinking about you. You felt so warm, pressed up against his spine, it felt nice to have someone he cared about next to him, and your soft fingers rubbing against his ribs through his shirt made his soul tingle. He sighed, guessing you weren't too happy with him not talking to you much. "We need to talk, if you're willing to talk to me. I just wanted to know if I've... done anything to upset you?" You asked him nervously.

Berry grabbed your hands, gently making you flinch a little. You definitely weren't expecting him to do that! He then placed his forehead onto yours giving you a small but soft smile. "I'M SORRY Y/N... YOU HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING TO UPSET ME. DON'T YOU EVER SAY THAT AGAIN, IT IS MY FAULT I'VE BEEN SO RUDE, IGNORING YOU FOR NO REASON. IT'S JUST..." Berry sighed in frustration. He didn't know what he was feeling. He growled to himself, he didn't like all this mushy stuff, but you... he wanted to hold you forever.

You smiled and gently placed your hands on his cheekbones, you could see he was a little confused with his emotions right now, which you understood. You made him feel something... that he probably hasn't felt in a long time. "Hey, it's okay Berry, I understand but... instead of ignoring me, please just talk to me, okay? You silly skeleton. Hehe." You giggled a little as Berry pouted. "I, THE TERRIBLE AND MAGNIFICENT BERRY, IS NOT SILLY HUMAN" He said, crossing his arms. You just hugged him, surprising him a bit, but he hugged you back as he smiled to himself. He could get used to this.

After your little moment with Berry, you made your way downstairs to place your suitcase by the door as Berry went to help (wake) Slim. Mae was on her phone, trying to ring Skullface, but he wasn't picking up, neither was Dream... and he would always pick up the phone if Mae was calling him.

"Ugh! Come on, Skullface, pick up..." Mae mumbled to herself as she walked back and forth. You raised and eyebrow as you walked up to her. "Mae, is everything okay?" Mae looked over to you with worry in her eyes. "I can't get a hold of Skullface... or Dream... h-he always picks up when I ring him... I'm really worried..." You side hugged her, rubbing her arm in an attempt to comfort her. "Hey... I'm sure they're fine. I'll go wake Sans to see if he's heard anything from any of the guys back home." Mae nodded slowly as you let go of her, giving her a comforting smile.

You were a little worried too, this wasn't like the skeletons to not just pick up the phone, especially if one of you girls were ringing them. As you were making your way up the stairs, Mae's phone rang, and she quickly answers it, hoping it was Skullface or Dream. "Hello?!" Mae froze for a minute. You looked over your shoulder "Mae?" You mumbled. She just looked over to you as she pressed the speaker button on her phone. "Hello dollface~..." Your eyes widened as you heard Ruben's gruff voice from her phone. Ruben chuckled. "You girls have been very naughty, you didn't tell me and Boss you were going on a little trip to heal blondie..."
