Chapter 39: Big Trouble

You and Mae were cornered by big ass skeletons in the girl's bathroom and they said they wanted to talk? You hoped that's only what they wanted. Nothing really went well when a male entered the girl's public bathroom...

You could see on Mae's face that she was not happy at all with this situation.

"So what do you wanna talk about? We haven't got long, you know? Our friends are waiting." Mae said crossing her arms as she looked up and glared at both of the tall skeletons.

Ruben scoffed as he shoved his hands into his pockets and smirked down at her.

Little human girls were fun to tease and mess with, maybe even scare a little, but these two? Their souls? He and his bro could hear their souls sing to them like sirens.

And those strange tattoos on their backs... Heh, they weren't tattoos... he swore he could see those beautiful marks glow when they were around Sniper and Skullface.

Ruben growled.

He wanted to know why those two FUCKS get these two songbirds? Not like their hands were any cleaner than his...

He watched as the smaller girl slowly grabbed the brunette's arm as his bro spoke to them. "FIRST OFF, TELL US YOUR NAMES... PLEASE," Boss huffed, the please more of an afterthought.

Mae patted your arm gently to assure you everything would be ok, you could see in their eye sockets that they held a predatory gleam as they watched you two, their eye lights glowing in hunger; Rubens more so than Boss's.

"I am Doe Mae, but everyone calls me Mae." Mae said keeping a good eye on Ruben.

"The names... Y/N..." You mumbled.

Ruben chuckled as he stepped closer. "Well, it's lovely to meet ya ladies."

"Wish we could say the same-"

You flinched when Mae was suddenly pulled forward into Ruben. "Now now, there's no need for that, is there doll~?" He grinned, running a clawed finger up her bare leg.

Before he could get to the top of Mae's thigh she hit his hand away, face red with anger. "Don't you dare touch me!" She hissed, glaring right into Rubens eye sockets.

Ruben chuckled darkly and cooed at Mae. "Oooh, this one's feisty Boss~"

Ruben was really starting to get on your nerves...

"BROTHER, WE ARE HERE TO TALK TO THEM, NOT TEASE THEM," Boss growled, frowning down at his brother who just rolled his eye lights.

Mae quickly pushed herself away from Ruben with a huff while he was distracted by his brother, coming back over to you and watching the two warily.

"Mae, we should get out of here and find Skullface and Sniper." You whispered.

Mae nodded and whispered back. "Agreed."

The only problem was you couldn't get past the big skeletons to the bathroom door...

"I APOLOGIZE FOR MY BROTHERS BEHAVIOR LADIES, SOMETIMES HE CAN BE VERY RUDE!" Boss said, glaring down at his brother.

At least one of them had some manners, besides trapping you in the ladies room that is...

Mae nodded accepting the apology. "It's... fine, but i'm sorry. We really must get going." Mae said, grabbing your hand.

"OF COURSE, BUT ONE MORE QUESTION WE JUST WANTED TO ASK... DO YOU, BY ANY CHANCE, LIVE IN A MANSION?" Boss smirked as he leaned down, Ruben grinning deviously next to him.
