Chapter 47: Night Terrors

It was late at night and you were not sleeping very well.. Berry woke up to you sobbing in your sleep. You were having a horrible nightmare.

" Y/N..... heh heh...." you recognized that voice that was Ego... " Nice to see you out of the house your little friend Dream's powers were blocking my fun.." Ego whined mockingly

"What do you want?" you said angrily looking around in the darkness surrounding you.

" I've realized that you are the only one I can talk to in your beautiful nightmares hehe.." You raised an eyebrow. Why was Ego always in your dreams?

"Why me?!" You shouted, your voice echoing around you . Ego chuckled darkly

"Because you're the light, i'm the dark.. you are the soul of hope the light that shines when darkness falls... silly girl have you not realized your soul mark powers yet? HAHAHA!" Ego laughed mockingly. You started to hear what sounded like angry wasps around you. That was not good... you stayed in the light as best you could.

"Do you know what kind of creature I am Y/N?" Ego asked as she appeared behind you. You yelped and turned around quickly. Ego smiled under her mask. She could see the fear in your child-like eyes.

" N-no I don't know what kind of monster you are..." you stuttered out as you watched Ego carefully. She was just standing there in the dark, like she couldn't go near the light circle you were in. Were you making the light? Ego crouched on the floor, her sharp curled claws drumming on her thigh like Horror does. She was mocking him.

"Really? I thought by now your dumb skeletons would have told you girly girls alllll about me hehe. " Ego chuckled darkly as she stood back up tilting her head at you. " But of course..they like to keep secrets from their precious human girls what a shame... ooohh I wonder what else they're keeping from you?" Ego grinned under her mask as you frowned up at her. You've had enough of her talking shit about your friends.

" You leave them alone!" you shouted, your circle of light starting to flicker. That gave Ego a chance, and her hand started to twitch. You yelped when she suddenly grabbed your face digging her claws into your cheeks, making you whimper a little.

You tried to pull away but she was too strong. You started to panic, the circle of light flickering more now." Oooh how much those filthy skeletons want you girls so bad..." Ego chuckled as her voice started to change " now listen carefully peaches..." your eyes widened her voice became Bucs you could feel tears sting your eyes you were terrified of this lady.

She continued talking in Bucs voice getting all your attention on her " they call my kind a mimic...." she then started to sound like Horror " little bird.... I can mimic movements.... voices... " her voice became Maes " I can control people hehe as you've already seen... with just one scratch.." Ego chuckled as her normal creepy voice returned.

Thank god...you didn't want her speaking like that anymore with your friends voices. Egos masked face came closer to yours as her grip started to tighten. The buzzing... it was right next to your ears now. Your body started to shake. " W-why are you doing this just..leave me alone!" you sobbed

" Shhhhh.." Ego covered your mouth with her hand making you whimper more. " The best part is... you may not be scared of skeletons anymore, but i'm gonna make you terrified of me.. " she said lowly as she started to laugh insanely. Suddenly, bugs started to crawl out of the folds of her mask and down her arm towards you.

You tried to move your body but you were frozen with fear. Your screams were muffled by Egos hand as she continued to laugh, the horrid insects crawling down her arm to crawling all over your face. You could feel their pointy little legs run across your face and body. You tried so hard to shake them off, but your body was glued to the spot.
