Chapter 50: Masquerade Ball

 Ruben Scoffed as he crossed his arms. He didn't really want the stick like skeleton to come to one of his families parties...but Mae and Suzy would only go with him and his bro if their annoying little friend came along, so he had no say in this unfortunately. If his bro was alright with it he guessed he could deal with it for now.

" BROTHER, DO YOU AGREE? " Boss asked raising a bone brow at him. Ruben looked up at his brother then down to Mae who was petting her cat. Seeing her in a hanfu outfit really rattled his bones. If only she was his he would rip that clothing off her and pin her down on the table...

" RUBEN?!" his brother shouted snapping him out of his thoughts.

" huh? oh sorry bro yeah...yeah it's fine.." Ruben said mumbling the last part.

Boss sighed in annoyance as he shook his head knowing his brother wasn't even listening. "ANYWAY SO YOU LADIES WILL COME WITH US, YES? " Mae thought about it for a minute. They didn't really deserve a night with you girls after what they just pulled, but maybe they would be a bit nicer if you girls gave them a chance.

Mae sighed but nodded. " Fine alright I'll come.." she said clearly so both baras could hear her. Ruben chuckled.

" heh heh good..." Boss nodded, happy with her answer. He turned to Suzy looking down at her.

" SUZY YOUR ANSWER PLEASE? " he asked.

" Well if Mae and Y/N are going guess I will too then.." she said crossing her arms. She was up for giving them a chance too even tough they didn't deserve it... But hey, if Mae was ok with it guess she was as well.

You frowned. You had a bad feeling about this.

" Y/N DEAR DO YOU WANNA COME WITH ME? " G Pap asked looking down at you with a smile. You looked up at him, your face relaxing. You guessed you could go just so you can keep an eye on Mae and Suzy and... it would be kinda nice to hang out with G Pap.

" Alright I'll come. " You smiled softly as G Pap's smile brightened, happy you wanted to go with him. Ruben clapped loudly making you girls flinch.

" great now that that's settled... " ,He said as he stood up, " the party is tonight night so... we will pick ya ladies up at 7pm sharp.. ya got it petal? " Ruben said looking down at Mae with a menacing grin as he tapped her nose with the point of his finger.

Mae nodded flinching a little from him tapping her nose but she stood her ground. " Very well.." she mumbled but loud enough so Ruben could hear. Boss stood up quickly.

" EXCELLENT, GLAD WE GOT THAT SORTED! MAKE SURE YOU LADIES WEAR SOMETHING NICE " Boss said as he walked out the kitchen.

" And revealing..." Ruben mumbled under his breath as he followed his brother. Boss stopped and glared down at his brother l...oh, he heard that.... he looked over to G Pap.

" OH IF YOU ARE COMING G PAP MAKE SURE YOU BEHAVE GOT IT? ". G Pap smiled politely.

" Of course I will..." Boss nodded and pushed Ruben to continue walking out the mansion.

Finally they were heading back home for now. You sighed in relief after they've finally left. Mae rubbed a hand down her face.

" Well..that could've gone better..." she said.

" BUT MY DEAR AT LEAST IT DIDN'T END UP WORSE .THEY ARE HAPPY FOR NOW..." G Pap says cheerfully. You nodded agreeing with him. Buc walked in after the mafiafell brothers left.

" ya girls ok? " He asks, concern lacing his voice. You nodded and gave him a tired smile.

" Yeah Buc we're fine, thanks. " He nodded back relieved with that answer.
