Chapter 42: Neon Lights

It was new years eve and you were in your room sitting on your window sill with Neko purring loudly on your lap as you quietly read your book.

You just wanted some time alone for a bit, or as you called it, some 'me time,' before the mansion got noisy again.

You turned to look out the window, seeing that Mae was outside in the garden clearing the weeds so her flowers could grow again in the spring while G sat with her, watching her as he smoked. After he finished he chuckled to himself as he walked up behind Mae and wrapped his arms around her waist, lifting her up making her squeal and spinning her around.

Mae giggled. "G! Put me down! I'm trying to do the garden, hehe." She said laughing and smiling brightly.

G grinned as he nuzzled in between her neck and shoulder. "Hmm... why not take a break toots?" G mumbled into Mae's hair.

Mae placed her hands on his and tried to wiggle away. "G, I gotta do the garden silly." She said as she slowly moved his hands from around her, making him groan in annoyance that he couldn't feel her warmth anymore.

Mae just chuckled and shook her head as she knelt back down to tend to the weeds as G just watched her with a grumpy look on his face, leaning on the fence before fishing out another cigarette

You smiled at the scene and just as you were about to start to read again, Suzy came bursting through your door, making you jump while also making Neko jump off your lap and shoot out the door.

You sighed as you heard Edge shout at her from his room. "SUZY! DO NOT SLAM DOORS!" Which she ignored as she quickly walked over to you.

You placed your book down knowing your me-time was over. "What's up Suzy-" Your brows raised as your eyes widened, now noticing that Suzy was wearing a black gothic dress, the same one Edge wanted her to wear for Christmas. "Uhm...?"

Suzy rolled her eyes, noticing you were staring at what she was wearing. But you couldn't help it! You've never seen her in dresses, skirts yeah, but dresses? Nah...

"Yeah yeah, I know, i'm wearing a dress... I told Edge I would wear THIS for new years, which I regret saying now..." She mumbled, pouting.

You giggled a little, so Edge did get her to wear that dress sooner rather than later.

"It's not funny!" Suzy blushed, crossing her arms.

"No, no I think it looks lovely on you, the boys will love it!" You enthused, smirking.

Suzy just glared at you. "You think it looks... nice on me?" She mumbled, a little unsure.

You smiled and nodded. "Is that why you came bursting through my door? Just to get my opinion?" Suzy nodded. "Heh, well at least it's gothic-looking, your type of dress. Edge has good eye lights spotting this one, hehe." You giggled.

Suzy just glared at you. "Yeah well, it's not gonna last long lass, it's only for today, so joke as much as ya want.. won't be on me again."

You doubted that very much with Edges anger and attitude. "So... is that all you wanted? Or...?" You asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Oh, also Mae wants us downstairs!" Suzy said as she gave you a cheeky smile. She walked out of your room and went downstairs, letting you follow at your own pace.

You sighed but smiled as you followed.

As you got downstairs and followed Suzy into the living room, chuckling a little as Slim and Stretch wolf-whistled at Suzy, looking her up and down as she walked in; actually amazed to see her in a dress instead of her usual outfits.
