There hasn't been any threats of villainy thanks to the hard work of pro heroes across the country. The citizens have them to thank for keeping them safe in times of crisis. As everything seems fine, a sudden power outage hits the city followed by a blinding flash of light and a large explosion! People flee in terror as a wave of energy flows outwards damaging several buildings in it's wake.

Rubble comes crashing down on citizens, cars explode and heroes rally as fast as they can to save all that they can. At the center of the explosion, launched from a training facility a few miles from the city itself, lies a young person buried in rubble. That person is you. Near your unconscious body is a small mechanical orb, about the size of a basketball, completely broken and jolting out a few sparks of electricity. Sirens wail through the sky as you lie in the debree....
