The Not So Small Family

Once again JJ woke up on Emily's arms. They both fell asleep in their undergarments. She turned the best she could, staying in Emily's arms without waking her up. She looked at the time, it was around 5:45. They had enough time to go for a run.

She turned back around and gave the part of Emily's neck that she could reach a kiss. Emily groaned and hugged JJ tighter. JJ laughed and said "baby if you get up we could go for a run"

"Five more minutes" she said drunk on sleepiness

"No now if you want to go. Henry will be up soon and we have to be back before he gets up"

Emily opened one of her eyes "Fine. But only because I love you"

JJ kissed her cheek "Thank you!" She yelled jumping out of bed and grabbing one of Emily's long sleeved shirts and a pair of her own leggings.

Emily hummed grabbing light sweatpants and an FBI shirt with the sleeves torn off

They walked downstairs to find Ny, Jess, Dani, River, Mia, and Hannah talking

"Hey" Mia said as they walked into the kitchen. The rest of the women plus River turned to see them walk in

"Oh well hello, I don't think I've ever seen you up before 6:30" Jess said to JJ

"Coffee" Emily said ignoring Jessica and going straight to the coffee maker

JJ gave her a sideways glare then turned back "Don't mind her she's not a morning person. She has to have a lot of coffee and some food before she can tolerate anyone" she said the second sentence a bit louder so Emily could hear her. Emily turned her head around and glared at her as she poured her coffee

"We are going for a run. Do you mind watching Henry if he wakes up? We should be back before then" JJ asked them

"Yeah sure" Mia said it

"Ok Em we are going for a run" JJ said. She turned around just in time to see Emily throw her scolding hot coffee back like it was a shot

"I still don't know why you like to run with me. I always end up carrying you back" Emily said not even fazed

"I like it and nobody can run like you can. Everytime you and Morgan go on a run you have to carry him, and Garcia that one time she went with you-"

"She ran half a mile before giving up and walking. At mile three she gave up and sat down. I had to carry her for seven miles while running as she complained about her feet hurting, how hot it was, and how my back was uncomfy and sweaty when I ran"

JJ laughed "I woulda payed good money to see that. Anyways-" she said still laughing a little "-you have to carry Reid when Morgan ropes him in then you have to carry both of them when Morgan also gives up. You also had to carry mom that one time he went with you cause Morgan dared him to. Elle has sworn off running with you she just lets you carry her the whole time. And dad just watches, he doesn't even think about trying. The only time you carried him was when you both ran after the unsub and the car was a few miles back. This is also why we mostly ask you for piggyback rides."

At this point Emily had already had two full cups of coffee and she poured her self a third. "Are you done yet?" JJ asked as she once again threw the coffee back

"That was only my third cup and you haven't had any. I'm not going unless you have some cause the last time you didn't drink coffee you fell asleep two miles in and I ended up carrying you bridal style."

"Why didn't you just bring me back to the house?"

"Because I wasn't going to leave your sleeping self alone unless I absolutely had to"

JJ smiled and went to the coffee maker next to Emily.

"Mom and dad?" Hannah asked low enough so everybody but JJ and Emily could hear

"Hotch and Rossi" Jess answered

"Hotch and Rossi?" Ny inquired

Jess shrugged "People on their team"

"Oh" River said

"Yeah that's what I thought at first" Jess said

"Eat" JJ said holding a granola bar disturbing them from the side conversation

"No. I'm not eating that" Emily said as if the granola bar was offending her

"It's a granola bar" JJ said trying again

"It's healthy" Emily said looking at it warily

"Just eat it"

"I only eat things that taste good"

"It has chocolate chips"

"Yeah like five of them"

"It's turn to a liquid when you eat it"

"It's not the only thing that turns to liquid when I eat it" Emily said with shit eating grin. Mia spit out her water

JJ eyes widened

"That's what she said" Emily said laughing. JJ glared at her trying her hardest not laugh, everyone else laughing

"Come on Jareau, laugh a little, that was funny"

JJ gave in and started laughing. "Whatever just eat something that isn't... just eat something" She said not wanting to say certain things in front of her family

"I'll eat an apple how bout that?" Emily asked already grabbing one

"Fine let's go" They grabbed their airpods and phones. By the time they left it was already 6:30

They started on their run. "I can't believe you said that in front of my family" JJ said smiling in spite of herself

"It was funny and I couldn't not say it"

"I know but you could of said it under your breath so only I could hear it"

"Now what fun would that be? Besides they all laughed"

"Yeah whatever wanna race?"

"You are so on Miss. Jareau"

JJ glared at her "you know I hate it when people call me that"

"I know" Emily said with a smug face

JJ huffed "3, 2, go!" She yelled taking off

"Hey wait that's not fair" Emily said trying to catch up

They raced for a few miles, neck to neck, until JJ slowed down and put her hands on her knees, breathing heavily. Emily stopped and turned around "You good Jay?"

"Yeah" she wheezed out

"You sure"

"No, can you carry me?"

"Yeah sure but you know we still have a few miles"

"Yeah I do just carry me"

"Ok" Emily said taking off her tank top, revealing her abs and giving it to JJ

"Why are you giving me this?" JJ said grabbing it

"Because I'm going to be hot"

"You're always hot"

"Don't I know it" Emily said winking

JJ smiled as Emily squatted a little so it was easier to get on her back. Emily ran for awhile as her and JJ would sing to some of the songs that played and even ended up dancing to one of them when Emily slowed down for a tiny break.
