"Now, as Garcia would say, this case is a doozy" Hotch said "I've already talked to everyone else-"

"Man, I knew we were the least favorite" Emily said

"We?" JJ said eyeing Emily up and down "No, honey, you. You are the least favorite"

Emily scoffed "Hotch who's your favorite?"

"I don't have a favorite"

"Liar" they said together

"Yes you do" Emily said crossing her arms even though he couldn't see it

"Everyone does." JJ said

"So who is yours?" They said in the same tone

"Between you two? I love my JJ's and non JJ's the same" Hotch said

"Damn it" Emily said

"Oh yeah!" JJ said fist bumping the air "Mom loves me more. Mom loves me more" she said doing a dance "Mom loves me mor-" she stopped abruptly when Emily flicked her forehead

"Did you just flick my forehead?" JJ asked in a disbelieving tone

"I believe that is what-" she flicked JJ's forehead again "-that is called"

JJ was ready to slap the shit out of Emily but Hotch spoke before she could "Girls behave or I will ground you both"

They bother huffed, crossed their arms and groaned "sorry mom" not really meaning it

"You should be. Now back to why I called you-" Emily and JJ grabbed pens and a few pieces of paper "-in Arizona, pregnant brunette women in their late twenties to early thirties are being murdered and their fetuses are being cut out of them but are still attached due to the umbilical cord not being cut. I sent the crime scene photos to your laptop."

The pictures popped up and JJ looked away as she put the back of her hand over her mouth trying to control the urge to gag. She took a deep breath and looked at it again. The two latest victims looked almost identical to Emily. JJ subconsciously put her hand on Emily lower back running slow circles.

"Good thing I can't get pregnant and we're not in Arizona" Emily says under her breath

"There are five victims. They each have blunt force trauma. The bodies were dumped in fields that only had dirt. Their eyes were closed when they were found. The cause of death was a heart attack which doesn't make sense seeing as their hearts were no longer present. They each had their throats slit and that symbol on the right side of their chest" Hotch said referring to an odd shape right where the heart would be if it was on the right side

Emily zoomed in on the umbilical cord when she saw something that caught her eye. She used the paper and pen to draw a bigger version of the symbol without taking her eyes off the screen. "Okay" Emily said still studying the photo "you see that symbol on the umbilical cords?"

"Yeah" Hotch and JJ say

"Well in the Mayan language that is the symbol for baby killer which is another word for-"

"Abortion" JJ cut in

"Exactly. Abortion. Now back then it was considered a sin, much like it is today by some individuals, but you would be sacrificed to the creator gods if you even thought about it. They would- Hotch what did the autopsy say"
