The Not So Small Family

When they finally got to the Jareau house they were still singing their hearts out especially JJ. The Jareau house was huge, well it had to be able to house all of the kids and their parents. JJ's mom and 2 of her brothers and one of her sisters were out side talking but stopped when the large red truck pulled into the driveway. Emily turned the car off then opened the door, when she did that the music stopped so JJ yelled at her "Turn it back on I love that song!"

Emily rolled her eyes but turned the car on anyways. Emily got out and said she would get Henry so JJ got out and went to get their bags but instead of opening the back she tried to climb up using the tire but fell. Emily laughed as she was getting henry out along with his backpack. Once he got down Emily told him to go give his grandmother a hug. As Henry ran to the front of the house Prentiss went to the back of the truck to help JJ. When they finished getting their stuff JJ climbed down with the help of Emily. 

They walked to the front of the house and said hi to everyone before pushing pass them before the could respond. When she saw Henry she called to him "Hey henry! Why don't you show her to our bedroom, yeah?"

"Okay mommy!" He jumped off the couch and ran to Emily "Come on mama! You have to see ouw woom it's weally big!" He then grabbed her hand and ran upstairs while Emily had all of their bags, even JJ's. Once those two were upstairs JJ started talking "Okay, we are just friends. That's it, there is nothing there. Next thing, yes Henry calls her mama. We knew this could happen since she started helping raise him after the whole Will cheating on me while I was pregnant and getting the other girl pregnant and leaving me for her saying he didn't want anything to do with me or his son thing. She has helped me with everything since we've become friends, from Will cheating on me, leaving us and helping me raise our son to getting kidnapped and tortured and Ros' death. So don't say or do anything stupid." 

Right then Emily came down with Henry on her shoulders bouncing him up and down. She walked up to JJ as she started introducing everyone. "Okay so everybody this is Emily Prentiss." JJ said as Emily waved her hand. "Emily this is my mother, Sandy, my father, Jacob, my brothers Jason, Rosco, Jeremy, and Nikolai, my sister Jessica, and my sibling River." Emily shook all of their hands. When they were done River spoke up and said nervously "I'm non-binary so my pronouns are they/them"

"Okay thanks for telling me. I doubt I will but if I forget please remind me" Emily responded with a smile. To say the Jareau clan (besides JJ) was surprised, amazed, and happy was an understatement, Will was never this nice, he didn't even know that non-binary was a thing and he never used the right pronouns. "Hey mama, can we go outside and play?" Henry asked before anyone could say anything about the moment before. 

"Yeah sure bubs, what do you want to play?" Emily asked 

Henry hummed whilst he thought about it, then his eyes brightened and shouted "Soccew! Ouu can mommy play wit us?" 

"Only if you're on my team" Emily said

"Deal" He responded 

"Henry I'm a little tired but we can play later" JJ said 

"No she's not she's just scared because she knows we'll beat her." Emily said with a wicked smile

JJ scoffed and said "You will never beat me." Emily rolled her eyes and said with JJ "I was the captain of the varsity team and I had a scholar ship to Georgetown!" "We know" Emily said playfully. JJ started walking then turned around and pointed to Emily "I will destroy you agent Prentiss" 

"Bring it on agent Jareau" She responded while giving Henry a high-five

"I saw that"

"Whaaaaat no you didn't, there was nothing to see"

"I saw you give him a high-five"

"No you didn't"

"Yes I did, I was staring at you when you did it"

"No you weren't" 

"Uhh yes, yes I was"

"Mm mm nope, no you didn't" Henry said

"Yes I did I swear I saw you guys high-five" JJ said

Henry and Emily just shook their heads. JJ huffed and turned around to continue going outside. Emily followed with Henry still on her shoulders and gave him another high-five. JJ stopped and turned abruptly which caused Emily to stop and stare at her. "You did it again."

"No" Henry and Emily said still staring at her. They stared at each other for a minute until Henry started giggling which made Emily smile.  She bit her lip to try and stop smiling but it didn't work to well. JJ huffed again and continued to walk outside and grab a ball. 

They played for awhile until JJ's mom said it was time for lunch. JJ said "Okay we'll be in right after this"

"Bring it on miss varsity" Emily said and the entire Jareau started to watch to see what was going on.

JJ kicked the ball hard to the upper left corner but was stopped by Emily and bounced right back to JJ. JJ stepped back and kicked the ball as hard as she could and almost hit Henry but lucky for him Emily got in front of him and hit her stomach. Once again the ball went back to JJ. "Henry go get the ball from Mommy!" Emily yelled so Henry ran to JJ, got the ball, dribbled around her and took off with JJ close behind. Emily saw this so she ran to catch up. "Run Henry! Run!" She yelled. 

Emily soon caught up to JJ and tackled her to the ground with her hands behind her back as if she was cuffing an unsub. "No!" JJ yelled as she tried to wiggle out of the hold.

"Yes!! Go Henry Go!" Emily screamed. Henry kept running until he got close and shot the ball right into the middle of the goal. Emily jumped off of JJ and ran to Henry as Henry ran to her.

When they got to each other Emily threw Henry really high as he giggled. "We did it mama! We beat mommy" Henry screamed as Emily caught him.

"Yes we did superstar" Emily said when they high-fived.

"Piggyback wide?" Henry asked

"Of course my monkey man, after all you did beat miss varsity soccer captain" she said. Emily squatted down to let Henry be able to climb on her back.

JJ was walking with the ball in between her hip and her hand when she looked back and saw Henry on Emily's back while the two of them stuck their tongue out at her. She smiled the biggest smile her family has seen in a while and shook her head. 

"Hey mama can we wace?" 

"Yeah hold on let me out you down." Emily said and put her hands up which Henry grabbed on to. She bent so he could flip off. They got lined up to race when Henry had an idea "Hey mommy!" he yelled, JJ turned around "Come wace wit us please." JJ acted like she was thinking before joining them "Fwee, Two, One, Go" Henry said as he held his hand up as he counted down. They raced and it was pretty close but Henry won because he's amazing.
