The Not So Small Family

It was just before lunch and JJ was outside enjoying the cold weather in Emily's sweatshirt because her flannel wasn't warm enough. Emily was somewhere else having a conversation in Romanian with Matthew.

A little while later Emily came out to see JJ lost in thought

"What's a pretty little thing like you doin out here in this cold weather"

A smile grew on JJ's face as she heard Emily's fake county accent. She felt Emily sit in the chair next her. "Ah you know, just what life used to be like when there weren't monsters everywhere you looked. When you could be so carefree. I used to run around over there with Ros and Jess when I was little. We played soccer all the time. It was actually Ros who got me interested in it"

Emily hummed before getting up and offering her hands to the blonde. Jennifer gave her a confused look

"Let's go create and recreate some memories" Emily said with a smile

"Seriously?" JJ asked as her eyes lit up

"Of course"

JJ used Emily's hands and jumped up. She grabbed a soccer ball as Emily went to the field that had the goals

"Are you sure you want to do this?" JJ said playing with the ball

"Yeah why?"

"Because your old and you don't have Henry with you"

Emily scoffed "I am not old! I'm only 34! And your only 3 years younger than me. And as for Henry I was going easy on you"

"I'm gonna squash you like a bug"

"Oh yeah? Let's see it Jareau"

JJ dropped the ball and started juggling it

"Come on Jareau" Emily taunted "Scared your going to lose?"

"Never" she said before dribbling towards the net

They played for a while until it started sprinkling

"Uh oh" Emily said stopping

"Uh oh is right" JJ said dribbling past her

"Woah! Hey! That's not fair!" She said trying to catch up with JJ. As they kept playing they got dirtier and dirtier. They finally stopped when Emily took a muddy ball to the neck

"Are you ok?" JJ asked walking over to her

"Yeah there might just be bruise from your hard ass kicks"

By now the rain had stop and they went inside.

"Y'all look like hurricane Katrina hit you" Liam said

"Hurricane Katrina? More like hurricane tortilla!" Emily said quoting the vine

Everyone looked at her like she had three heads while Mia and  Dylan looked at her with surprise and pride

"They get it" Emily said pointing to the two

"Go get cleaned up lunch is all most ready" Sandy said

"Mom it's like 10:30" JJ said

"It's 11 and we have to eat early if we want to digest all of this before dinner"

JJ sighed and climbed the stairs with Emily in tow. When they got upstairs they split up to go take their showers

"Fran can you go tell them lunch is ready" Sandy asked

She wordlessly walked up the stairs to JJ's room. She made the mistake of not knocking before opening the door

"Oh god my eyes!" She yelled as she saw JJ only in her panties and Emily in only a sports bra with a towel around her waist, dangerously low
