It was now after dinner and pretty late. Most of the kids were asleep in the gaming room upstairs. They were watching Good Boys when Emily got up to use the bathroom. JJ laid her head down where Emily just was and continued to watch the movie when she heard crying. She looked up to see Henry balling. "Hey Henry-"
"No" Henry yelled out and backed up a little
"Come here Hen"
"No!" He screamed out again and stomped his foot
"Can you tell me what's wrong?"
Henry tried to speak but he ended up crying more out of frustration
Emily walked back in to see Henry crying and immediately went over to him and picked him up. He calmed down and his head went into her neck.
"Can you tell me what's wrong bubs?" She asked bouncing him up and down
"Nightm-mawe" he said gripping onto her sweatshirt
"Oh you had a nightmare?" JJ asked from her spot on the couch. Henry nodded and grabbed at Emilys sweatshirt.
"You want me to take it off?" Emily asked. Henry nodded again so Emily but him down an he started crying again. Emily threw her sweatshirt at JJ who put it on over her sleep shirt.
"Oh. my. god." Grey said
"What?" Abby asked confused
"She has tattoos" He responded
"Really?"
"Yeah look"
Emily picked Henry up again but he still wasn't having it. He pulled at her shirt again. When she didn't do anything about it he said "shirt"
Emily looked down at him "bubs I can't take my shirt off"
He looked at her with tears in his eyes and said, in the most heartbreaking way "please"
Emily weighed her options before looking up to the other people in the room and asked hopefully "Do you mind if I take my shirt off?"
"No not at all" Sandy replied with a smile
"I'm gonna give you to mommy so I can take this off but I promise I will pick you up again ok?" Henry nodded
She set Henry down and took off her shirt, throwing it on to the arm rest
"She has more tattoos" Grey said amazed
"She has abs" Dani said with wide eyes
"And look at those biceps" Jess said
"Damn" Jeremy said
"Damn indeed" Amy said licking her lips
She picked Henry up again and tapped JJ, who was still laying down in the same position when Emily left, on the head so she would move. She sat down with Henry's head on her heart and his little hands gripping the straps of her sports bra. They sat like that for awhile until Henry's head looked up and asked if she could sing.
"What song do you want bubbers?"
"My song"
"You have a lot of songs which one?"
"The sleepy one"
"The sleepy one? Which one i- oh yeah that one" JJ got her phone out and opened it
"No sing it" Henry said when he saw the phone
"We are bubs she said as the opening notes started
(Emily, JJ, together)
"I'm not tryna complicate none of this

JJ laid her head on Emily's shoulder

"Is JJ singing?" Quinn asked
"Yeah now shhh" Rosco said not paying attention to the conversation
"But she's never sang in front of us" Rachel said

Emily kissed JJ's forehead and JJ sat up so Emily could lay down.
"Mommy?"
"Yeah?"
"Can you cuddle with me and Mama?"
"Of course little monkey" JJ got up and laid down in Emily's arms. She was on the right side with her back against the back of the couch while Henry was still fully on Emily's chest. He fell asleep in a matter of minutes and so did JJ. When she got up to go put Henry in their room JJ groaned out and reached for Emily, grabbing onto her sweatpants.
"Jay, baby, I gotta go put Henry down"
"No" she whined out
"Yes" Henry woke up to the sound of his mothers voice's
"Hen, mon bébé, go to sleep" Emily said rocking him. Henry shook his head no sleepily as JJ still wouldn't let go of her pants. She grabbed her shirt off the arm rest and gave it JJ so she could cuddle with it until she got back. She started singing a Russian lullaby to Henry trying to convince him to go back to sleep as she went to her room.
When she got back JJ opened her arms and motioned for Emily to pick her up. Emily rolled her eyes but did it anyways. JJ wrapped her arms around Emily's neck and her legs around her waist.
Emily sat down and moved to lay down with JJ still on top of her. Emily's hand travelled down and under JJ's shirt to draw random patterns on her back.
"Do you want a blanket" Emily whispered as to not break the moment. JJ nodded yes so she grabbed the blanket JJ was using before and draped it over the both of them. They fell asleep like that, tangled in each other's arms while the rest of the family that was there took pictures
