Emily put her flannel back on when Luke asked to play with Henry.
"Do you still have that thing on your phone?" JJ asked
"What thing?" Emily asked confused
"The thing"
"Oh the thing" Emily said nodding
"Yeah do you have it"
"No. I still don't know what the thing is"
JJ gave her a look that said really. Emily was trying her hardest not to laugh
"Give me your phone" JJ said putting her hand out
"Why?"
"So I can find the thing"
"What THING"
"The thing Emily! The thing"
Emily gave up and tossed the phone over before squeezing JJ's thigh and getting up.
While she was searching for the thing Matthew called
"Babe your brothers calling!" JJ yelled and and the girls raised there eyebrows with a smirk
"Ok!" She heard from the kitchen.
"Hey hey" JJ said when she answered
"Oh heyy my hot blonde. You sound like Emily though so I'm gonna need you to turn that down a little. One Emily's enough"
"I heard that" Emily said walking over to the couch
"Well look who finally showed up" Matthew said
Emily rolled her eyes and mumbled a whatever. "Where's Henry?"
JJ shrugged and continued to talk to Matthew. Emily bit her lip before yelling to Henry, telling him to come down here
"Yes Mama?" He asked out of breath
"Is that my little man I hear?" Matthew said excitedly
Henry's face turned into a surprised look and he ran over there "Uncle Matthew?!"
"In the flesh."
"No on the screen" JJ said
"Same difference" he said shrugging
"Oh can we face time?" Henry asked bouncing on Emily's lap
"Of course bud!" Matthew said
"Why are you in your bullet vest?" Henry asked
"Because I'm about to go on a mission and I just wanted to wish you a happy Thanksgiving since I don't know when I'll be back from my mission"
"Ok!"
That's when Matthews commanding officer walks in "attention" another soldier called out and Matthew dropped his phone on the dresser next to his bed, the phone ended sitting upright so you could see what was going on
Everyone stood at the foot of their beds and stood at attention. Emily had to resist the urge to say 'at ease'. The officer paced in between them. He stopped at a guy who was still in his towel
"Why do you have a towel! Your supposed to be ready private!" Danny, the commanding officer, said getting in his face
"Sorry sir!" He yelled
"Yeah well sorry ain't good enough! Drop and give me twenty!"
The soldier got on the ground and started doing push-ups. When he was done he stood at attention once again
"At ease men" Danny said once again pacing between them
As Danny continued to talk the small family sitting on the couch had their own conversation
