"Oh, I love history class! Someone is always leaving me a little piece of gum stuck under my desk." Adam smiles as the group of us walk down the stairs of the school.

"Adam, please tell me you didn't," I beg, looking back at him as we reach the bottom of the staircase.

Adam blows a bubble which pops and answers my question. I gag looking away from him, ew just ew. "He did. He totally did." Bree nods in disgust. She links her arm with mine and we move away from Adam.

"Oh. Guys, don't look now, but here comes that guy none of us like. Marcus." Leo hisses at us.

I roll my eyes and the four of us smile walking over to Marcus. "M-dog!" We exclaim hugging him.

Marcus smiles greeting us. "Hey!"

"What's up!" Adam asks.

Before Marcus can reply Leo moves in front of us pushing Marcus aside. "Wait. Hold the phone. Hold the phone, hold the freaky-deaky phone. "M-dog"?" He glares at us.

"Yeah. Bro's call each other by nicknames." Chase explains to Leo with a shrug.

"Well, I'm your actual bro and you don't call me by a nickname," Leo argues.

"Actually, we do. We just choose not to do it in your presence. Mr Tiny McLittlestein." Adam tells him with a smile. The rest of us chuckle including Marcus who overheard from behind Leo. Leo glares at us unamused.

Chase takes my hand walking over to Marcus Adam and Bree by our side. "Hey, Marcus, what are you up to this weekend?"

"You want to hang out?" I add on.

"Ah, my dad's out of town so I'll be stuck home alone with my grandma," Marcus tells us.

"Aha!" Leo points at him accusingly. "You said your grandma was dead."

"The other grandma. But thanks for reminding me." Marcus pouts looking away from him upset. I shoot Leo a glare and let go of Chase's hand, moving next to Marcus to comfort him. "I wish I could stay with you guys for the weekend."

"And I wish you weren't a spastic sociopath with abandonment issues," Leo remarks.

"Leo, give it a rest would you," I say pulling Leo aside by his shoulders. "Why are you being so mean?"

"River, none of us are safe until the FBI responds to my request for a background check on this 'M-dog.'" Leo argues.

"Look, Marcus, I'm sure you can stay with us. I'll just check with Mr Davenport." Chase tells Marcus.

Marcus looks at us confused. "You call your dad "Mr Davenport"?" He asks.

"Uh, No. Pssh. No. But you do, and I wanted to make sure you knew who I was talking about." Chase lies quickly.

"Okay. Cool. Thanks, guys." Marcus smiles before walking away for his next class.

The bell rings and I start to leave for my class when I hear Chase yell my name making me whip around. "River, watch out!" Chase yells pointing at the football flying in the air when suddenly it goes in a different direction.

I freeze my eyes wide in shock. "What just happened?" I ask, walking back over to the group. Chase gives me a quick hug, glad that I'm ok.

"Did you just...?" Adam trails off as we all watch Chase in disbelief.

"I think I just moved that ball with my mind." Chase states.

"I didn't know you could do that," Leo says.

"Neither did I," Chase replies staring at me.

"Man, if you can do that with your mind, I wonder what I can do with mine." Adam thinks as he chews his gum.
