Day 1
~{Route 1- 12:06 PM}~Coming from Viridian City, a determined police officer and his fiery companion walked through Route 1 in search of some answers. Looker and Growlithe strolled down the road, looking out for any kinds of strange anomalies, objects, people, or Pokémon.
"Everything seems normal here... but many of the people back in the city said they saw a bright light somewhere around here. Sniff anything out yet, Growlithe?"
The Fire-type canine, shook his head to the side, not sensing any strange smells around the area.
"Arf." He barked at his trainer.
"Guess not. We better keep walking. We can't leave until we know what happened here."
The duo continued to walk through the route, crossing paths with the different trainers in the area and asking them if they had seen anything mysterious occur. Many of the trainers responded with similar answers.
The two continued to walk, looking for more trainers to interrogate. The rugged detective looked at his notes, trying to figure out what conclusion he can make based on the information he had gathered.
Looker scrutinized his data seeing that many of the people he questioned indicated that they spotted a beam of light beam into the sky from the forest.
"The forest..." Looker muttered to himself, slowly turning in the direction of where Route 1's forest was located.
Looker and Growlithe walked up to some of the trees leading into the forest. They gazed at the forest but saw that it was completely covered in fog.
Growlithe began to sniff the air coming from within the forest. He slowly turned his head in different directions of the forest, trying to see if he can smell any kind of strange smells.
The Fire-type Pokémon then stopped moving and caught a whiff of something that alarmed him.
"Graarf! Graarf!" Growlithe barked in an alert manner.
"You smell something. Good job, Growlithe!" Looker praised his partner. "Though, I don't know how we are going to find something through all that fog. I'll contact a search team to come to investigate the forest. This won't take long." Looker reassured Growlithe
The man brought out his phone and began to contact for some help. Growlithe patiently sat down on the grass, waiting for his trainer to be done with his call. But, as he waited, Growlithe's ears shot up, hearing something that was coming from within the forest. The Pokémon heard shouting from within the forest, almost as if people were inside. Possibly lost.
"Graarf! Arf! Arf!" The Puppy Pokémon barked in concern at the forest.
Looker turned to Growlithe, confused about why he was barking. "Growlithe, what's wrong?"
Growlithe couldn't wait for instructions and knew that he had to go and help whoever was in the forest, or else who knows what could happen to them. He immediately rushed into the sea of trees, instantly disappearing into the fog. This made Looker jump in shock.
"Growlithe!" He shouted. "I gotta go, just get a search team out here, fast!" Looker declared to the person in the other line before hanging up and running after his partner.
Looker ran through the forest, following the direction he saw Growlithe run to. However, with the forest being completely enveloped in fog, it was impossible to see which way he was going. Looker turned in all directions, seeing if he could spot his companions. But, it was no use.
"Growlithe! Growlithe, where are you!? Bark once if you can hear me, and twice if you can see me! Wait, scratch the second option! Just bark so I can follow your voice!" He yelled out, hoping that he'd get a response.
