Day 2
~{Route 3- 11:02 AM}~

"I'm exhausted!"

Red weakly grunted as he and Leaf walked up to Route 3's Pokémon Center that marked a checkpoint that they were getting close to Cerulean City. The two trainers had dirt marks all over their bodies as well as their Pokémon. The two decided to put their Pokémon in their Pokéballs because of how tired they were. For about an hour, the group either had battle trainers they encountered or wild Pokémon that kept appearing on the surprisingly long path of Route 3.

The two teens entered the Pokémon Center and requested the nurses inside to heal their Pokémon. They joyfully accepted and went off to recuperate their Pokémon.

Red and Leaf rested in the lobby of the Pokémon Center, where they turned their gaze to the window and appreciated the view of the large mountain ahead.

"Mt. Moon. What an amazing view..." Red sighed in bliss, feeling less tired.

"It really is." Leaf replied as she began to feel more at ease

The large mountain looked to have quite a rocky terrain. They also noticed a few Pokémon that looked to be walking, climbing, and flying all over the mountain. This made the two young trainers excited and wonder what new things were awaiting them in the mountain and beyond.

The two stayed seated on the couches on the lounge, almost falling asleep.

Just as Red was about to rest his eyes for just a few seconds, he was quickly snapped out of his rest by a familiar voice.

"Excuse me, I'd like to get my Pokémon healed."

Red turned his head to the front counter, where he saw Blue standing there as he was asking for his Pokémon to get healed.

"Blue!?"

Blue shifted his head as he heard his name get called. He looked rather surprised to see both Red and Leaf in the same building as he was.

"Red! Leaf!"

The spiky-haired teen walked up to the two trainers, expressing a big grin on his face.

"What took you guys so long?" The rival asked.

Red and Leaf sighed as they laid back on the couches in exhaustion.

"Ugh, battling tough trainers and getting into trouble with so many Pokémon," Red replied with a tired voice.

"This area had so many Pokémon trainers and Pokémon that just kept wanting to battle us the moment we stepped in front of them. Talk about not letting us enjoy the area." Leaf added with a pout.

"Oh yeah. The trainers on this Route were annoying. Though, I wouldn't consider them much of a challenge. My team and I got through all the people here without breaking a sweat." Blue boasted.

"Wow! Who would've imaged." Red expressed sarcasm. "Anyway, what are you still doing here? Shouldn't you be in Cerulean City taking on the Gym Leader?"

"About that..." Blue scratched the back of his head before continuing on. "I got a little sidetracked trying to find Pokémon. I thought maybe I should try to at least find some Pokémon to document on my Pokédex. For Gramps, you know? Never realized how fun finding Pokémon could be."

"That's really good to hear, Blue." Leaf commented. "The more Pokémon we find, the faster we can complete the Pokédex."

"Yeah, yeah. Though, I'll mostly do it when I'm not busy battling. I'm still focused on my goal to defeat all the Gym Leaders and become Champion."
