Aisha closes the door looking at me then sighed. "What?" I ask walking back. "I was pretty nervous but thank god."
"Changed your mind?"
I look at her. "Yeah, thanks for the advice." She says, looking at me pitifully. "Don't pity me, my life is good, great now." I smile widely.
"Really? A relationship?"
I giggle, shaking my head. "What makes you think that?" I look away feeling shy. "Tell me." Aisha asks.
"Yes." I admits as we laugh. "I knew it!" Aisha celebrates like she won a lottery. "Is it serious?"
"Yeah."
"I'm so happy for you." She says smiling. "I don't know why I'm telling you all this honestly." We enter Jabir's office.
"Good afternoon, Dr. Jabir." I greet Jabir being professional but froze when I see sabeeha, my old patient's wife.
"Adama." Sabeeha says with a slight smile across her face. "Sabeeha, what a surprise."
She turns to look at Aisha, her eyes widens a bit. "Aisha?"
"Sabeeha?" She asks. "Its been a long time." She says looking at her.
"Yes, I agree. How long has it been? Ten years, twelve?" Aisha asks as sabeeha shrugs with an attitude. "About."
"About." Aisha repeats. "Nurse Adama, what can I help you with?" Jabur asks with a warm smile. "Oh, Aisha, the patient wants the pill prescription the psychologist sent to you." He nods, checking the computer immediately.
"Let me see, what's your name?"
"Her name is Aisha Sambo." Sabeeha answers, glancing at her with a smile. "Aisha Sambo." He repeats, typing it.
"Here it is." He pulls out a white paper from the table's drawer. He writes it then stands up.
"Thank you." I stretch my arm to collect the paper. "No, I'm taking care of it. You should rest." He smiles at me as i put my arm down. I am in no mood for his annoying attitude.
"No, it's alright. I want to finish my job to the end." He stands in front of me, looking at me in the eyes. I take the paper from his hands, checking it.
"Okay, wait here, Aisha. I'll be back with the pills." I look at her then back at Jabir who was still looking at me. I turn, stepping out of the office.
I retrieve the drugs, shoving it in my pocket. I was walking up the hall when I see habiba. I entered the first door that I saw which was the ladies room.
Habiba has been calling and trying to talk to me but I don't want to engage in it. I am in in the mood.
"No, not now. I'm not at home, well my temporary home." I hear sabeeha's voice with a whisper. My curiosity got the best of me so I walked a bit closer.
"Mukhtar, I love you and only you. I'm in the hospital now because I'm feeling a bit feverish. Don't worry."
She says as i gasp internally. She's cheating on Khalil.
"I can't come over, I'll see what I can do." I step out of the bathroom before she catches me eavesdropping.
I take a deep breath, feeling bad for Khalil. She's cheating on him even though he loves her plus he's blind.
"Adama!" Aisha calls me as I smile, raising my hand and walked up to her.
"Hey, here are your drugs. Take one after two days, don't take too much or less. I need to run, my mans is waiting for me." I smile, raising my brows.
"Yeah, get in that office and pull him out of there." She smiles as i furrow my brows. "That is not my mans, he was my husband."
I scoff, shaking my head. "Oh, I'm sorry. He was acting all..." She trails off before i pat her shoulder. "I know, it's okay. Let's go."
We walk to the sitting area, sighting Qahhar and a two other men talking. "No, you bet on Tottenham." A man reminds qahhar.
The Qahhar groans frustratedly. I walk in front of Qahhar, blocking his view as he looks up at me. He smiles. "This is a better view." He says before I smile, flattered.
"Thank you, I made you wait. I'm so sorry." He stands up, shaking his head. "Its okay, I actually was accompanied by some men." He nudges his head to the man beside him.
"Khalil?" I call him. "Adama, is that you?" Khalil asks looking around as Qahhar smiles weakly at him. I nudge him a bit. "Its not funny." I whisper before walking to his side.
"How are you? I saw sabeeha but I thought she came alone." He smiles. "No, I'm here to check my eyes. Sabeeha actually dagger me here."
He smiles. I feel so bad for him, he doesn't know she's cheating on him. I smile, holding his hand.
"How long has it been?"
"Five or six months. Along that timeframe." He says. "You know each other?" Qahhar asks with his hands in his pocket.
"Yes, she was my nurse and we were friends that lost touch." Khalil says unable to look at Qahhar but at the TV.
"Now we are going to be in touch, I think I have your number."
"Yes, I think so too." He adds. "What a coincidence." Qahhar says, not smiling anymore.
"I agree and I hope we meet soon too." I say walking back beside Qahhar. "Likewise, have a good day."
"You too." I say before Aisha walks towards me. "So...."
The conversation continued till sabeeha come over. I couldn't look at her the same way. We conversed for around thirty minutes before we dispersed.
Qahhar held my hand as we walked to the car. He has been acting some type of way towards Khalil.
"You don't like Khalil." I confront him as he tilts his head. "It's not that I don't like him, he's just not the person you think he is." He looks at me, my brows furrowed.
"What type of person is he then?"
He chuckles. "I can't say, we made a truce, the three of us." I stop walking. "A truce? You don't know them."
"I know more than you know." He walks faster, pulling me with him. "What?"
"Let's go home and eat something. I'm starving, you must be too."
