1. Last Day Of Freedom

Before we get into the story I hope you guys like and enjoy, I first started it in 2019 so I decided to update a little but anyway to the story.

My heart begins to race as I stare at the screen with squinted eyes the blanket clutched in my sweaty palms, my whole body tenses as the music goes silent indicating a jump scare in the next few seconds.
"Hey no that's cheating Jas!" Lizzy accuses I snap my head to her with a scowl as she trys to grab the duvet out of my grasp, I gasp as the blanket is ripped away leaving me way too exposed, I lunge back towards the blanket, I get ahold of it as Lizzy starts laughing we suddenly make it a game of who can get under the blanket first everytime one of us got underneath it would be soon ripped off us. She then turns her back to me as she bundles the blanket up underneath her curled up frame grinning and cackling evily,
"Oh come on Liz you had your eyes covered too" I playfully whine at her batting her with a pillow, she pokes her head out from under her hands.

"I have an excuse" she pouts, eyeing the pillow at my chest, I start to grin at my next words,

"What's that? Being a qualified pussy?" I tease as I snicker at her, I watch as her eyebrows slowly rise up her forehead.

"Yes actually, I learn from the best" she smiles proudly, I gasp dramatically and begin to raise the pillow above my head, when the vibrations of a ringing phone can be heard, I sigh as I lower it back to my chest,

With a swish of her light brown hair she shoots up and towards her phone as she hits answer,
"Yes it is i" she answers like a pure royal, I giggle as I watch her eyebrows furrow,
"Oh do I have to? I'm kind of busy..... Well having a sleepover of course" she does an eyeroll in my direction,
"Watching a horror?", Her gaze quickly flicks to the TV,
" Oh but mum, Fine fine we will get him bye bye " she grumbles as she drops her phone onto the bed, she looks over towards me,

"We are picking my scrawny little brother up from his friends" she says rather grumpily, she then begins to rise up off the bed and starts towards where our coats are hung on the back of the door.
I nod and glance towards the TV, it then goes black, I look over as Lizzy places the remote back down on her nightstand, she passes my coat which I swiftly make work off, I then slide off of the bed and start to pull my shoes on.

When we are both ready we head downstairs and out of the house, Lizzy locks the door behind her as we start down the road. We go to a house a few streets away, we walk up the driveway to the front door and give a light knock. The door opens to a woman and what I assume her little brother comes running out, he looks about seven but I'm not sure.
They exchange words and we head back, the whole time her brother racing ahead.
We get back into the warmth of the house and speed up the stairs and straight into the bedroom once again.
"Gosh it's cold out there tonight" I say while jumping into bed and pulling the blanket over me, after I took my coat and shoes off of course.
"Sure is" the play button on the screen blinks as the horror starts to play again, but I can't stop thinking about how good she has of a bedroom, bit random but seriously any girl would love this.

On one white wall is a bunk bed but no ordinary bunk bed, the beds aren't single they are the size of normal double beds, and on either side is a built in bookcase where she has some ornaments and obviously books. On the opposite wall she has her giant tv, which I'm still jealous over.
The only reason why she has got bunk beds is because I'm over every weekend without fail. I have foster parents and they don't really care for me even though I'm seventeen, my birthday is very soon.
