31. A whole again

They never said when I was going to this farm they never said anything about Caleb either, I know he's alright though and being cared for because otherwise I wouldnt be as strong as I am now.
I look up from my daze of watching the boy eating just outside of the entrance, I haven't moved since this morning too scared I'm going to knock the tears out of me, I lay my head on my knees and tightly wrap my tail around me, my wings slightly quivering, I look up through my eyelashes as I have caught Osiris' attention.
I lift my head as the smell of fresh rabbit coats the air, Osiris waltzes through the kitchen with a full dead rabbit, the boy looks up at him in horror as he passes him and crouches just in front of me as he holds the rabbit up by the ears,
"Here get this down you", he gently says as he pushes it onto my lap, I look down at it and blink away tears of loneliness as I start to crunch on the ears, it's still warm.
As soon as I finish the ears I crack down on the skull and lap up the brain.
I'm soon shoving a mouthful of the tail into my mouth and look over to the disgusted contorted face of the boy watching me thoroughly, I swallow and smile at him he turns away from me and I slightly laugh, I look over at Osiris who is staring at his phone in his hands while his leg bounces nervously, then he stands and slams his phone to his ear and zips off before I can hear anything else.
I sigh as I get up and start towards the fountain, I splash water on my face then I start to steadily drink from the rippling water.
When I finish Osiris comes through with a massive smile planted on his face he goes straight past and to the door, how mysterious. I snicker as I head out the flap and stretch my limbs, I groan and look towards the car speeding away with a loud yawn.

After soaking up the few rays of sunshine I go back inside, I hear laughing so I peek out behind the tree and see the boy with a piece of string, he is on his stomach on the platform on the outside cage bars while midnight is chasing around the other end dragging along the floor. I step out of the gate and catch the boys attention,
"Oh hi I didn't know where you went", he says as he slowly sits up on the platform,
"You never told me your name", I say as I scan my eyes over his face, he seems to be distant then he comes back,
"I'm not allowed to tell you, sorry", he apologizes and looks down, I decide not to push it as I don't want him in serious trouble.

I snap my eyes open and bolt upright, I swear I felt him, I hold my hand to my heart to feel that the ache has filed down a bit, my heart starts to beat erratically as I hear the rumble of an engine come to a stop out front, I look around to see that I fell asleep on the branch connected to the cage bars. I jerk up into a crouch as the door flies open, my feathers raise and my tail begins its swinging with puffed fur, I grip onto the branch with my toe claws as I watch three men come in dragging along a metal crate, I snapped out of it as Osiris comes over and points to the cage, I look back at the men and start making my way inside. I stand just in front of the flap and instinctively go into a crouch, Midnight bounds over to me hissing her little head off as the scraping of metal winds around the space, they eventually push the crate up to the entrance to my cage and they all stand back, I eye the crate suspiciously and take a few steps forward, I begin smelling the air when my heart starts to twist, my breath catches as the familiar scent hits me like a sword in the heart, I instantly yowl out my own call and lunge myself at the crate, I begin to hear Calebs own call from inside and I begin to start scratching at the front while whimpering with need, I hear scratches and whimpering on the other side as well.
"Open it", a faint voice says, I stand back just as the door is thrust open and I see Caleb bolt out and crash into me, we fly into the water both of our wings outstretched with my body crushed in his,
"Oh my god Belle I thought I'd never see you again", his voice cracks as he holds my head to his shoulder, I let out a splintered sob and bury myself into his embrace thinking that it's too good to be true,
"I'm here love I'm here", he soothingly says as his grip on me tightens, I feel his wings envelope us and I bring my eyes up to meet his, he draws his lips on mine and he kisses me with need and desire, we finally break away from eachother and he takes my head in his hands,
"We aren't getting split up again, and if we do we do everything to get back to eachother, understand?" He more asks me then demanding me, I nod my head and smile up at him,
"I missed you", I croak out, he smiles down at me and kisses my forehead and brings me back into his embrace.
We stay there for what seemed like hours until we break away and step out of the fountain, I flutter my wings getting rid of the excess water droplets, I feel Caleb go rigid beside me and follow his gaze to Osiris in the entrance of the cage,
"Cal it's fine he won't hurt us", I calmly say as I hook a finger in his, he narrows his eyes at Osiris as he slightly moves in front of me,
"I don't trust purebloods", he lowly says, I watch Osiris move and head to the kitchen, he comes back with the almighty bag and I instantly go up to the cage bars, he hands me a walnut, I turn and fly up to the top of the tree and start cracking open my walnut, I look down as Caleb watches Osiris intensely and slowly starts taking steps toward him, he hands Caleb a walnut but he snatches it from him and joins me up on the tree.

After a few walnuts I take Caleb outside where we fly around together, my emotions sky rocket at our reunion sending us both into an adrenaline rush, he's currently chasing me and I'm still able to get away as I'm more agile in the air then he is, but as soon as I slow down a notch he's on my tail grabbing and pulling sending us crashing to the ground, I laugh up at him as he looms over me with my hands pinned above my head a smirk crosses his features as he bends down and lands a chaste kiss on my lips. He suddenly lifts his head and jumps up so he's in a protective crouch over me, I quickly lift my head and crane my neck to see what he's looking at, I sigh in realisation as the boy has made his way out into the field and is standing at the flap his gaze fixed on us,
"Oh it's the servant he's fine", I quickly say as I crawl out from underneath him and start walking over, I hear Caleb huff and stalk after me.
We finally get up to the boy who is gazing past me to Caleb,
"Is he your other your always talking about?" He innocently asks, my words catch as I look up at Caleb wo looks down at me with a cocky smirk,
"Yes he's my other", a blush creeping up on my cheeks, the boy nods and looks out to the trees, I sigh as I head through the flap deciding to give them two some time to get to know eachother, I slow down in my footsteps as a different scent hits my nose turning me rigid, I look around the tree to find some people quietly talking with Osiris,
"So what's going o happen to them?" I see Osiris' hands in a knot in his lap as he looks intently to the people across from him in the couch,
"Well that's for their community to decide, but if they prove to become a problem for us then we will have to take action against them", a man sadly says, I hear Osiris audibly let out a nervous breath, I've never seen him like this before,
"Is there anything we can do, I can do?" He desperately asks them, one of them slowly start to shake their head,
"Sadly no because they won't be able to be reunited with the pack and there is nobody to kill them off so they can get new alphas either, I'm sorry, they are as good as gone at this moment in time, there's only a few that hasn't gone rogue or a few that has but has kept their human mind", the woman finishes as she slides her hands down her knees indicating she's ready to leave,
"Right that's all for today, we thought you should know", she says as she starts to stand, I pin my eyes at Osiris as he visibly tenses with anger? My eyes slightly widen for the humans safety they seem to know this a they all start to make their way out of the door, I gulp as I watch Osiris lay his head in his hands and sigh out his frustrations.
I straighten back into a normal standing position and make myself known by clearing my throat, he snaps his head up at me and closes his eyes and looks away,
"How much did you hear?" He whispers loud enough for me to hear and nobody else, I look down at my hands,
"Enough", I mumble, I hear him give out a frustrated sigh as he stands and go towards the kitchen, my ears tense up as the flap sounds from behind me, I look around as Caleb slides his hands around my waist with a wary eye, he looks down at me,
"What's wrong?" Feeling not to burden him with it I reply with,
"Nothing", with a smile, he smiles down at me and catches my lips up with his, I wriggle free as I hear Osiris return out of the kitchen again, I lift my eyebrows in suprise as he has two deer heads with the horns still attached, he smiles towards Caleb and lightly settles them at the entrance of the cage.
I quickly go forward and snatch one up by the horn and fly out and up onto the platform at the skylight, I crack into the horn as I watch Caleb quickly gets his and speeds up to me.

Once we are finished with our deer heads not leaving even any fur behind Osiris indicates for me to get into the cage for night time, I fly down and into the cage followed closely behind by Caleb,
"You in with them tonight?" Osiris asks the boy, he makes his way inside as I settle down into the base of the tree, he comes in front of me and curls up into his regular ball and saddles up to me, I curl my arm over him and drape my wing over him and poke my head out of the top, Caleb settles up behind me and wraps his arm around my waist as he watches Osiris pull the curtain across, he sighs and drapes his wing over the three of us and he lightly starts to purr into my ear, I look down as Midnight climbs along my side and settles into the crook of my neck, I hear Caleb audible chuckle at the small kitten, I quickly hear the two snores of Midnight and the boy as I quickly fall asleep along with Caleb.
