"Well, what do we do with that thing?" Anna asked with a hint of fear in her voice pointing at the metal ball. Everyone came back from Subway and brought dinner, I don't know why but apparently they brought Kavora with them . We were eating and discussing what we were going to do next and how we're going to find the dragon's cave. We all went silent and six heads turned to me. I put my hands up in surrender with my sandwich still in hand, and everyone started laughing. Once I calmed down I stood up from the bed I was sitting on and walked over to the ball. Sydney followed me from where she was sitting on Joey's lap. Once she got up he made a pouting sound and put on a puppy dog face. I chuckled and crouched down next to the ball. "What's it made of Syd?" I questioned her as she crouched down next to me. I turned to look at her. She looked confused and deep in thought, "Um, Leo can you come over here?" Sydney didn't take her eyes off of the ball for one second as Leo came over. They started to talk about metals and I just tuned it out. I never really understood Hephaestus talk. I just stared at the stupid ball for what seemed like forever, so I got impatient. I reached out and grabbed the ball. Sydney noticed and smacked my hand making me drop it, "What the crap Hannah?! Are you crazy?! That thing could have killed you!" I snapped my wrist down to release it from Sydney's grasp. The three boys started to crack up at the fact that Sydney is pissed and I'm just standing there trying really hard not to laugh. I try to sigh but it comes out as a small chuckle which makes Sydney even madder. (If that was even possible.) The three boys were dying of laughter at this point, rolling all over the carpet. I bent down and picked up the ball, tossed it in the air a few times and caught it. "You must keep it," a strange voice boomed in my head. I instantly recognized the voice's owner. Zeus. The king of the gods and God of the sky. What a treat! I said sarcastically to myself in my head. "It could be useful. So. Keep. It," Zeus said in an annoyed voice. "Fine," I said out loud and six curious heads turned to me. I shrugged showing them it's no big deal. I walked casually over to my backpack and placed the metal ball in the front pocket. I always hated Zeus and I'm guessing he always hated me. He had WAY to much power and it wasn't fair. He also had and awful temper, and I mean bad. He thinks he can do what ever he wants when ever he wants to. I mean yeah he's the king of the gods but he doesn't have to be so bitter about it. And hating your daughter's only child to ever exist? Really? It's not my fault that she fell in love with my dad. Who wouldn't? He's smart, charming, handsome, kind, strong, and a great dad. After that my mind drifted to my brothers. What about them? Were they demigods too? And if so who were their parents? "Hey Ham can we get going? I don't like the feeling of this place, it gives off a bad vibe," Sydney's voice interrupted my thoughts. I nodded quickly suddenly feeling that if we stayed someone could get hurt. "Run! Get out of there! And drop the metal ball in the lobby!" A new voice echoed in my head. Apollo. Oh thank the gods my uncle! A smile stretched across my face, but suddenly turned into a frown. "Let's bolt!" I order everyone and the moment the words leave my lips everyone is sprinting around the room. "Hey, um Syd why did you call Hannah Ham?" Ben asked a little confused. "It's a long story so I'll tell you when we get out of here," Sydney replied sounding a little bored. After about 3 minutes of packing we ran out of the room door and into the lobby. I stopped dead in my tracks. H-how? How is this possible? The person I saw standing in the middle of the room was the one and only Brian Tyler. My 18 year old brother. He looks nothing like me with his short, curly, dark brown hair. His dark brown eyes. His long extremely strong limbs and a smirk across his face. A face that girls would kill to have for themselves. "Little sis, what's up? How's Hannah- banana been?" He said with slight coldness in his deep voice. "What's it to you 'big bro'? B didn't you know I left, and I'm kind of in the middle of something really important," I told his mimicking the coldness in his voice and his use of old, old nicknames. Leo stiffened next to me and took a step forward in a proactive manner. I could tell he was annoyed by Brian and so was I, now was not the time for a tension filled family reunion. "Really? Leo really, my sister of all people?" Brian looked very annoyed at this point, in fact he looked pissed. I forced myself to keep a straight face. "Well Brian there aren't that many good ones out there and once you find one you need to protect it and hold on to it," Leo said with a challenging face on. What were they doing?! Do they know each other?! "Do you two know each other or something?!" I asked very confused. They both nodded their heads and Brian began to explain, "Well, we sort of know each other. We fought against each other in the battle with Gea and-" I interrupted him by asking, "You were on Gea's side? What the fric is wrong with you?! Do you have any common sense?!" I stomped over to Brian and jabbed my index finger into his hard chest, "What the crap do you want?" His grin faded and he grabbed my wrist. "You," he said with a cold tone and an abrupt scream came from Nicki, Sydney, and Anna as seven men (I'm guessing Brian's age) came running in a few had black sacks and flung them over my friends' heads. Tying their wrist together and running off with them to a big black SUV as the boys tried to fight the men. They were badly outnumbered and I knew this was going to end soon. But then I remembered what Apollo had told me. 'Drop the metal ball in the lobby!' So I ripped my arms from Brian's grasp and bracing myself for a fight. I reached behind me and slipped the metal ball from the pocket it was hiding in. Brian's glare dropped to the ball and I realized why I had it. It was a bomb. We will only have a few seconds to get out of here before the whole joint blows up. Leo realized and singled to the other two to spilt and save the girls outside. I had seen Kavora get pinned by 5 men and thrown into a bag and placed with the girls in the SUV. Once the boys were out of the building I was immediately surrounded. Some of them had knives. I can't get hurt right now so let's just push through the two guys where there is a small gap. I told myself and dropped the ball. I heard a faint beep, beep, beep, beep, and started sprinting for my life. The moment my foot landed in the door the ball exploded. Sending a huge invisible force through the air sending me flying 30ft forward. A faint ball of flame erupted in the lobby quickly spreading throughout the motel. Thankfully there wasn't anyone in the motel except hat and my traitor of a brother's group and him. I hit the cement with a loud thud and scraped the side of my arm that I landed on really badly. I felt warm hands wrap around me and carry me as crimson colored blood gushed out of my wound. I felt the person start running but didn't dare open my eyes too scared to see what happened to the men and what happened to...my...brother.
