"Hannah. Leo. Guys, wake up. Its time to leave," Anna said as she shook us awake. I tried to sit up, but I couldn't. I then realised that Leo had his arms wrapped around me tightly. He also wasn't waking up. Sydney walked over with a sly smirk on her face. Oh no, what's she thinking? She walked up to Leo and I. I gave her a pleading look. 'Help,' I mouthed and she nodded. Her smirk grew and she leaned down next to Leo's ear. "Leo! Hannah's making out with Ben!" she shouted next to his ear. Anna giggled while Ben and I gagged at the thought. Leo shot up the moment she said this. Everyone burst into laughter as Leo's nose caught on fire. Nicki put it out quickly with a little bit of water. Sydney and I were laughing the hardest out of the others and Leo glared at us. "Come on, lets get going before we miss our chance," he said grumpily, standing up and leaving me to fall on the ground trying stop laughing. It was dark out. The moon was at its peek and I felt a surge of energy course through my viens. "Mom, I know you're busy and you aren't aloud to talk to me let alone help me, but just make sure to help my friends in the battle I don't care if something happens to me just make sure that they stay safe. I don't care what happens to me as long as they stay safe and we succeed," I whispered staring at the moon as we grabbed our backpacks. I didn't even think that she heard me but it was worth a shot. Right? "Hannah everyone's ready," Sydney's voice pulled me out of my thoughts. "Should we take the car keys?" Joey asked. I nodded, "Yeah once we kill this dragon all of the monsters are going to retreat. So then we can use it to leave, and get back home." He nodded and took the keys from Ben. "Alright lets go," I said and started making my way through the forest to the area that Kavora and I stopped at yesterday. It was a fare distance away from the army, but close enough to where we can get there quickly. I led my best friends through the forest with ease. Only looking back a few times to make sure that they're still close behind. "Hannah?" I heard someone ask me from behind. I stopped and turned around to face all of them. The heavy backpack weighing on my shoulders. "Yes?" I asked curious about what was wrong. "When are we going to get there?" Anna asked and the other two girls nodded in agreement. I sighed as the boys tried not to laugh. Why do they always have to make this difficult? Can't they just be patient? I asked Kavora in annoyance. Remember, you don't have an ounce of patience in you either, Hannah. She said with wait...what was that...was that amusement? She is laughing at my pain great. I rolled my eyes at her and turned back to Anna. "Not that much longer if we move a little bit faster," I told her without any sarcasm. Every word dripping with the truth. Sydney nodded and patted Anna's shoulder, as she walked ahead of her. I could tell that the weight of the backpacks were taking their toll on all of them. Even Kavora. She was carrying two backpacks on either side of her muscular body. Her striking, crystal blue eyes filled to the rim with determination. "Let's keep moving. The sooner we get there the sooner you guys can rest. And the sooner we can start what we came here for," I told them coldly. I turned around and stalked further into the forest, they're going to get out of here weather they like it or not. I don't care the price for them to leave here safely. I don't care. They're going to leave, and if it cost my own life then so be it. As long as they're safe. Every last one of them. They will live through this madness. I sent a silent prayer to the gods. I meant every word, and I'm positive they all heard. From Zeus right down to the brat himself. Hades. Hannah, what are you thinking?! You can't do that! You basically just sacrificed yourself in order for your friends to live! Are you insane?! Kavora hissed in my head. Her deep voice ringing in my ears. "No. I'm not. I'm making my choice right here right now. No one dies Kavora. Not one of them they're my best friends and most likely the only family I have that at the moment. I'm not losing them!" I hissed her her whipping around to look my tiger in the eye. By now everyone was staring at me weirdly. "Hey forest girl? What happened?" Leo asked concern written across his features. She made a promise to the gods. Kavora's low growl made it's way into my head and by the looks of confusion, into everyone else's too. I didn't want to tell them what I prayed to the gods about yet. They won't understand. I turned around once again and pushed my way through bushed and branches with ease. Just a bit more until we're there. I pushed trough one last shrub before I walked into a small clearing. It was about the size of two queen size beds. Again it was small. I was planning on sleeping in a tree anyway. Actually keeping watch the whole night. I was too anxious to sleep. "Alright here we are! If you need me I'll be in that tree! Keeping watch! Get some sleep!" I called to everyone, pointing at an oak tree. The boys' mouths opened to protest, but I sprinted over to the tree and used my running start to propel myself onto a large branch. From there I began me accent. Snatching branches as I flew through the tree. There were a couple times when my golden locks got caught on a twig or two. I stopped after what seemed like twenty minutes. I was now high above the ground, a good 50 to 60 feet to be precise. I found a large enough branch that will hold my body weight for as long as I need, and began to get settled in. I heard and exasperated sigh after I was fully settled on my branch. "Why does she do that some times Leo?" I heard one of the girls voices. I wasn't sure witch on yet. "I don't know Syd. She was probably trying to avoid the conversation about what Kavora was talking about. I really want to know though. What if it was bad?" Leo asked, worry filling over his voice. Sydney laughed and I heard a small patting sound. She must have patted him on the shoulder. I wonder what she's going to say to him... "Leo..., Leo, Leo, Leo, Leo, Leo. My dear brother, Hannah is one of the strongest people I've ever met. I don't think that she'll actually be in trouble. Let alone admit it. She's stubborn, annoyingly witty, weird, award, a book worm, and forest girl-" she was cut off briefly by Leo. "Okay, I get it," he said bored. "But she's like a sister to me. And we're a tun alike, except for awkward, a book-well I'm kinda a book worm. If I get the right book. I'm also not a forest girl. Otherwise we're sisters no doubt," she finished. i could hear the confusion in Leo's voice as he said, "Where are you going with this?" I heard a loud smack and I suspected that she slapped his shoulder. "OW! What was that for?!" he yelled. "I was getting to that you idiot!" I could practically hear the frown on her face. She then started again, "My point is that-" She was cut off by a low warning howl. I gasped and stood on my branch. I peered out through the branches and leaves but couldn't see anything, the leaves were too thick. Wow, great choice in watch spot, Hannah. I jumped off my branch only to land softly on a thick branch eight feet off the ground. Sydney and Leo jumped because of my sudden appearance. "Syd go tell Kavora to help you find the others and arm themselves. Leo go and grab all of the backpacks. Put every one in a different tree. If these wolves come for us then they won't be able to get every backpack in one helping," I ordered them with a confident and steady voice. The two nodded and Sydney ran off to go find Kavora. Leo lingered a bit but jogged up to me. He jumped and grabbed on to the branch I was crouching on. He did a pull up and pecked me on the lips. Something gave me the feeling he knew that I was planning on facing the wolves head on and alone. Because wolves follow and serve my mother. All wolves respect and know her, so they do me also. "Be careful forest girl," he said seriously. "Right back at ya," I said in the same tone. He jumped down and ran off to gather the backpacks in different trees scattered around the area. It was at times like these where I didn't feel anything else other than the adrenaline that was pumping through my veins. I jumped off the branch, landing as silent as always. I knocked and arrow in my silver bow. And now I wait. It's been about five minutes until I heard the low growl. This brought back the memory of when Leo saved my life when I had been completely useless under the hellhound. I need to return the favor. Not just for him, for all of them. I heard the growl again, but this time it sounded like more than one wolf. It sounded deeper and more threatening. "Come out of the shadows," I growled deeply back. Only to be responded with even deeper growls and six bear like wolves stalk out of the ferns. They were larger than hellhounds. Much larger. Every one of them were different than the others. They all had a color throughout their fur coat. The largest on had a grey coat with different shades of black and grey. It looked as if it were a shadow. The second largest had a pink fur coat mixed with white and light grey. Then there was an orange and red mixed with white wolf. This one looked as if it was on fire. Then there was a royal blue and dark grey wolf that looked as if it were the ocean its self. There were also the smallest two, who looked to be the same size, one was different shades of green and brown mixed with black and white. While the other had different shades of purple mixed with light grey and white, with a black stripe from it's eye to the corner of it's mouth. The six of them stood in a line in front of me menacingly. Their teeth bared and foam dripping from the black one's mouth. "What do you want wolves?" I asked boredom weaving through my words. "Daughter of the moon.....its an...honor...to meet you," the pink one said in a girly voice. Her snout wrinkling as she said honor. She began to circle me, but I stood my ground. "Yes....you seem to be lacking something...hmm...what was it...ah yes, a family at the moment. Am I correct?" The green one said with a voice that sounded like an eight year old boy's, and a toothy grin, or smirk I couldn't tell. I clenched my fist at the mention of my family. I do have a family. Sure I can never go back to them, but I do have one. Two actually. My blood and then the other half-bloods with me here. "Aw, are you getting mad little girl?" The purple one said in a deeper female voice than the pink. "The dragon said you were beautiful but man, n-" the red one said in a deep male voice. taking a few steps closer to sniff my neck. WEIRD! But then I saw the wolf's eyes. They're human eyes. "Fire, step away from the girl. We are here to see if this girl can fight or not," the blue one said in a male authoritative voice. So the wolf named Fire just hit on me...odd. And what did the blue wolf mean by 'see if this girl can fight or not?' "If you think that I'm going to fight against my friends you might as well kill me now," I said flatly. The wolf with shadow like fur stepped forward. "That could be arranged quickly," he said in a deep, deep male voice that sounded as if it hadn't been used in years. "No! We need her alive....her friends though....thats a different story....," the blue wolf said as the six of them circled me. "You're not going to touch them. Do you know who I am you little mutts!" I snapped at them. The red, black, and pink wolves stopped and growled at me viciously, baring their teeth and snapping at me. I just stood there glaring at them. I had no clue where all of this sudden courage came from, but it seemed to be happening a lot lately and I don't mind. "Of course we know who you are! Why would we call you the daughter of the moon, genius!" the green wolf spat sarcastically. "Oh calm down brother! She's a human they all think they're superior. Even that bloody dragon thinks he's the king of the world!" the purple one lectured her 'brother' while glaring at me. "I agree with Storm. Earth you need to calm down....for now....take out your anger on one of her friends up in those trees. Right over there," the blue wolf told the green wolf, Earth. Earth nodded and whipped around, and started to stalk off towards the trees where my friends were hiding. Right before Earth was about to jump into the tree where Anna was hiding I felt rage rush through my veins in a jolt. "No," I growled. It sounded even more threatening than the sound the six wolves had made before. I saw the silver flood my eyesight. The wolf Earth was still stalking towards the trees. Think Hannah! Think! I searched my mind for any solution to this problem. I was running out of time and quickly. The wolf hunched it's back preparing for the jump high into the tree. Don't think just do! An older and more matured voice echoed through my head and it was filled with authority and power. It was a woman's voice. Not Kavora's but someone else's. This was all running through my head as I made the stupid decision to leap at the wolf. I landed on top of the wolf and wrestled it to the ground. I had it pinned under me as it flailed around trying to get free. It got a few lucky shots where it landed a gash here or there. I felt a weight on top of me and I almost fell to the forest floor. Key word 'almost'. I also felt something rip into my side and sent me flying across the clearing. I looked up and met eyes with Leo and Sydney in their tree. He was about to come down and help me but I gave him a firm look that told him, 'I will never forgive you if you come down from that tree.' He understood and nodded relentlessly. I turned back to the six wolves. They were growling in fury. "On second thought...she can die!" The blue wolf snapped. The black wolf let out a howl and jumped at me. I managed to roll out of the way just in time. I hissed in pain and grabbed my side that was wet and sticky with my own blood. "Is that all you wolves do? Jump at people? Is that it?" I growled out of breath. I heard Leo mumbled, "What is she doing?!" I picked myself up with the little strength I had left. Hey, Kavora on my queue you are to run around behind the six of them and creat a diversion. She nodded seeing that I was getting beaten badly. Ready, 3...2...1...now! She leaped out of the underbrush and roared as loud as possible. Five colored wolf heads swung around in crazy speed. Then began advancing on her. Run! I yelled at her she gave me a brisk nod and sprinted off into the trees the other wolves were still growling at the place she stood before. All but the blue wolf. Their leader. We met eyes and leaped at each other at the same time. I strung an arrow in mid air and let it fly. It hit the beast square in the forehead. The wolf went limp and crumbled to the ground after we collided in the air. I landed in a heap on the forest floor. My plan worked perfectly. I killed their leader and now they have no commands. Wolves need commands and without them they die because of starvation or dehydration. The blue wolf began to dissolve into golden sand and blow away in the slight breeze. "Come on let's leave we have no alpha," the purple one said and they all nodded and howled in grief the ran off into the forest. I just laid there breathing in sharp breaths slowly bleeding and losing consciousness. "Hannah!" I heard someone shout and the rustle of footsteps as my friends gathered around me, but I couldn't see them because my eyes slowly closed and I lost consciousness.
