It’s been three days and now the time has come for me to fight Blaze. I’ve been training those past three days. Finally, today is the day I kick some blonde butt. I was in the family room with Uncle Scott when they finally called me up.
“Are you ready?” He asked.
I started to stretch my arms, “As ready as I’ll ever be.”
He nodded and opened the door for me. Light shined through and I walked into what felt like white blindness. I stepped out and instantly the crowd started booing. I sighed and walked towards Blaze and the MC.
The MC nodded and started to talk to the crowd explaining the rules. I raised an eyebrow at Blaze and smirked. He raised an eyebrow also.
“Ready?” The MC asked. I nodded and so did Blaze. “Okay then….FIGHT!”
He left the arena quickly. Blaze and I circled each other slowly, waiting for who will strike first.
“You never told me who your dragon was,” I said.
“Same with you,” He smirked.
I shrugged and then lunged. Quickly, Blaze took a side stepped and tried to hit my back. I dropped it like it was hot and did a side kick. He jumped up and did a flip with a leg out trying to hit me. I rolled to the side and got up quickly.
“Hold on a minute.” Blaze said standing up with his hands in the air.
I straightened up confused, “What?”
He smacks his hands together and slowly pulled them apart. Out came a sword with fire blazing around the blade. I gulped. I don’t even know how to do that.
Don’t worry my child…I will help you
I nodded and suddenly I felt a surge of power go throughout my body. Blaze ran towards me with the sword in the air. Right as he was within a striking range I lifted my left hand and a surge of wind whipped through the air. What was weird was that there were light blue energy strips flying also.
He flew back about ten feet and landed on his feet in a crouching position. He looked at me with a devious grin on his face, “Now we’re getting somewhere!” He got up again and ran at me with full speed. I got into a fighting stance and when he was close enough I slashed my hand through the air and the light blue energy strips came down like a whip and a force of air whirled around me and Blaze feel back again.
He shook his head and said, “Is that all you can do?” He started running at me again. This time his steps were longer and not as quick. He leaped into the air and one last time he tried to hit me with his fire sword. I jump back before he could even come within range. He landed with a hard thud and when I was able to reach the ground it shook causing me to loose my balance.
Within that matter of seconds, Blaze was next to me and hit me with the handle of his sword on my back. I stumbled forward and clumsily turned around. Again, Blaze was running straight at me. I noticed a golden aura faintly glimmering around him. So he’s using his dragon too.
“Is that all?” I asked.
He smirked and charged at me.
Stay and absorb the blow…
“WHAT?” I internally yelled, “ARE YOU CRAZY?”
Trust me, and when Blaze does hit try and block with your hands…
I sighed and got myself ready by putting myself into a defense stance. With each step my body screamed ‘RUN’.
