my computer went wacko....again

I woke up and got ready. I got to the arena in time and was able to talk to Eva before I was called to the arena. I walked in and noticed that instead of a flat surface there was a huge hill. I looked at it with amazement. How did they do this?
"Whoa." I mumbled.
I walked up towards the M.C.
"You know what to do?" He asked.
I nodded, "But how will the people see? Will video cameras do?"
He shook his head, "Can't so this will be done while another Warrior will be doing another Trial. Anyways, any hint of light will make the bug turn to stone."
I nodded and looked at the entrance. Nothing special just a different color that contrasted with the dome itself.
"I'm going against her?"
I turned around to see a tall guy with golden blonde hair and a nice natural tan. His eyes were what got me. They were golden and the irises had a lighter brown that swirled around. I got instantly lost in them but then I felt a surge of electricity shock me and I looked away.
He came up to me and stuck out his hand. "Blaze Kempt." He said.
I shook it; a fuzzy feeling came over me right as our flesh connected, "Melody Ryuu...wait Blaze?"
"Is there a problem?" He asked.
I shook my head, "Jus' confirming."
He nodded slowly, "Okay?"
I let go and it took awhile before the feeling left my whole body. I smiled then turned on my heel and walked towards the entrance, "Let's get this over with."
"So you know what to do right?" The M.C. asked.
We nodded and the doors opened automatically. We stepped inside and the doors closed behind us. It was so dark that I couldn't see my hands.
"Damn it's dark." Blaze said.
Right after he said that a blaze of light exploded to my right. Huh no wonder his name is Blaze. Wait a minute...doesn't he know that the scarab will turn into stone if he uses light?
"Turn that off!" I said whacking his hand down. The fire died out.
"Why'd you do that for?" He whined.
"Any hint of light would turn the bug to stone." I hissed. I looked around and noticed a glow in the far left corner.
"Kay, gotta go." I said and started to walk towards the light.
"Wait." Blaze said fingers brushing my arm.
I stopped, "Why?"
"HELLO!!" he yelled. There was a rumble and I heard rocks falling. I didn't turn around but said a thank you and started off again.
That was really smart of him. Now I don't really have to worry about stalactites falling on me. I was able to feel my way through and got towards the bug. As I got closer the light got brighter and I was able to see all the silhouettes of stalagmites and stalactites.
"Gotcha!" I said grabbing the scarab. I placed it in the cloth that they gave us before coming inside the cave. I tied it to one of the belt loops from my shorts and started my way back.
Now here's the problem the bug turned to into stone when I grabbed him. I guess I scared him. Oh well, I can feel my way through.
"OW!"
