I waited in the family room till I heard the overhead say for all the contestants. I walked out and met up with my uncle.
“Heard what happened,” He said.
I hung my head, “Please don’t remind me.”
He stayed silent after that. I really wasn’t listening or paying attention to anything so when it was my turn to pick a scale from the bag I nearly jumped. I pulled out a scale and noticed a pig/monster thingy on it. I examined it alittle more and realized what I was going up against. A Porciboar. Ugh I hate those. They’re over fifteen feet high and ten feet long. For the tail they have on average one to three rattle snakes. It has a huge mane that is made of poisonous porcupine quills. It has the face and body of a boar and has long savvy tusks that are poisonous to touch plus it has poisonous breath that makes you fall asleep or swell up your air ways so you can die. Oh and let’s not forget about their acid saliva. I hate them with a passion. I’ve seen only three and even if I’m a good 200 feet away from them they still chase me down.
“Are you serious?” I muttered. My uncle looked at my scale and whistled.
“Have fun with that.”
I gave back the scale and waited till we were released. I didn’t even bother going to the family room, I just went straight to the hotel and to my room. I took a shower and took a nice nap.
“Everything will be alright my precious Warrior…do not fret…”
That voice. It’s so motherly and warming and calm. Is this my Dragon?
“I’m here with you. In mind…spirit…soul…”
It is my Dragon! She’s talking to me again. But why can’t I see her? Is it a her? It has to be! That voice…
“Rest is over now; go be with your friends…”
No…I don’t want to leave. I want to stay with you…
“You must wake up.”
Such firmness in the motherly tone. Alright, I’ll wake up.
“Is she asleep?”
“We are talking about Melody here…”
“Is she even breathing?”
“Go check then moron.”
“No, you check. Last time I did I got punching in the stomach remember?”
I heard the twins bickering when I started to drift back to consciousness.
“I’m awake you morons!” I said not stirring.
“SHE’S ALIVE!!” the said jumping back towards the other wall. Geez overdramatic much?
I got up groggily and looked at the guys who were in self defense mode. “What do you want?”
They relaxed their stance and smiled, “Nate and Adrian reserved the game room just for us today. So let’s go.”
“Be with your friends…” that voice was ringing through my head. It’s my Dragon. I know that motherly tone.
I really don’t want to right now but if my Dragon told me then I know it’s for the best.
I got up and put on my awesome cool flying chucks. I grabbed the twins ears and dragged them out of my room and down the hall way. I got to the game room and noticed a sign that said ‘reserved’ on it. I opened the door and noticed that Adrian and Nate were playing Halo on the big screen. I went over to them and plopped down right between them. I sighed and stared at the screen watching them manipulate their characters.
