I looked at the twins and noticed that they were paler than before and shadows were clinging to them. I looked over towards Adrian and noticed he was a light shade of lavender with small horns. Whoa why do they look different all of a sudden? I looked at Nate and didn't notice anything different.
"Why do you guys look so different?" I asked.
"In Selythika creatures show their true self." Nate explained, "But we stay the same. This is how we look anyways."
I nodded and then looked around, "We need to find a trail."
We quickly found a trail and followed it till we hit a fork in the road. There was a signpost that had arrows pointing in all directions. There was one sign that said, 'Elves' Inn'.
I pointed to that one, "That's where we need to go."
We followed the trail till we saw a building. The building infront of us was a mansion that had the appearance of a cottage. My family is a friend of the family that owns the building. Actually their daughter is my best friend (for a girl that is). We walked in.
Once inside I noticed a stairway and elevator to my right. Infront was a mini living room with a fire place. Infront of me was a desk with a tall blonde girl dressed in a warrior wardrobe. She kinda looked like Link and Zelda put together.
"Welcome to Elves' Inn. How may I help you?" She said in a bored tone eyes glued to a magazine.
"Well with that tone then I just won't get a room." I said jokingly.
"Well that's fine with me." She looked up and realized who I was.
"Melody? Is it really you?" She asked with wide eyes.
"Why yes Eva it is me." I smiled and hugged her over the desk.
"It's been years Mel." She said.
"Only four Eva. Come on it's not that bad." I said.
"That's human years dimwit. It's been about twenty here." She said.
"But you don't look a day over seventeen." I said.
"We age slower here remember?" She said
"Oh that's right." I said.
She nodded and then went to the computer, "Four rooms then right?"
"Thanks Eva." Nate said.
We each got a key and went to the third floor. I got a room between Nate and Adrian while the twins' room was right across.
"Okay ya'll I'm gonna take a nap." I said and went inside.
The room was nothing special. A queen sized bed with a closet, dresser, bathroom and window. I dropped my backpack and flopped onto the bed. I closed my eyes and quickly fell asleep.
I felt someone nudging my shoulders. I sat up and tried to whack whoever was waking me up. The person grabbed my wrist and pulled me up.
"Whoa Mel it's me Adrian."
I stopped and smiled sheepishly, "Sorry Adrian."
"Anyways, Nate wants you to train."
"What! Why? I just got here." I whined.
"Uhh no three hours of sleep is enough for you. Now go before Nate gets pissed." Adrian said.
"Okay." I said getting up.
I left and went to find Nate. He was in the game room with some other people I didn't know.
"Adrian sent me here to train." I said.
