WHOO!!! First chapter of the second book! :D im so happy. As usual the first chapter will be rather boring but hey thats how i write :p OH and i finally decided that you won't know Mel's Dragon till later in the story...Like later later, so that way you guys will HAVE to read >:D [insert maniacal laughter] okayy so i guess i'll stop with the babbling

"How long has it been now?" I asked.
"Bout twenty minutes." Nate answered.
Nathaniel Ryuu my older brother who so also happens to be a Warrior. He's the Warrior of storms.
"Good just ten more minutes to go." I smiled.
"You know too much blood to the head is bad Mel." And then there is Adrian. He's my brother's best friend ever since they could remember. He's a demon and is the doctor / mother of our group. No he's not gay but I view him like a mom who cares for her child.
I then heard two thuds.
"You win Mel." Grumbled the twins.
The Barrow twins, my best friends since birth. They're shadows. You ever get the feeling of someone watching you? That's them. They feed off of your emotions. They're like empaths.
I put my legs down and tried to stand up. I instantly got a head rush. I placed my palm on my head and swayed. I fell and Nate caught me right before my butt could touch the ground. I steadied myself and then looked at the twins.
"Pay up! Fifty bucks each. See I can stand on my head longer that both of you." I said.
The boys grumbled and each handed me fifty dollars. I smiled and placed it in my wallet.
"Much appreciated boys." I laughed and went outside. The sun was setting and the breeze was light. After the kidnapping we moved to the other side of the world, so now we live in France. My brother wanted me as far away as possible from Leon and his friends. It's been about four months since I've seen those vampires. That's been four months getting acquainted with my Dragon.
"Okay Melody let's train." Nate said.
"What? Why?" I cried.
Don't get me wrong I love training but sometimes I train too much and I get tired. Plus it's not fun when you're doing the same thing over and over again. So far I am able to make people fall asleep, alter their dreams to whatever I want (plus see what they are dreaming and going into their dreams). I'm getting better at illusions and the ability to control water. I'm not as good as the Water Warriors but its better than most. My other brother Jeremiah said that I'll be discovering more powers as time goes on.
"You need to be ready for the Dragon Trials. J.J. wants to surprise the rest of the family about you finally became a Warrior." He explained.
"They still don't know?" I asked.
"Yes and we're going to keep it that way. Now go get dressed." He said.
I nodded and ran to my room. I got dressed into black stretchy short shorts and a black tank top. I placed athletic tape on my feet and hands so I won't injure them. I ran back outside and jumped right infront of a waiting Nate.
"Okay let's start with illusions." He said.
I placed my hand on my head like a drill sergeant and smiled deviously, "Alright."
What I love about this ability is that I not only can fool the person I want to fool but the people around me also without them noticing. I closed my eyes and let out a small breath of air. I opened my eyes and willed another me next to me. There standing next to me was, well me. I smiled feeling powerful and skilled.
"Just act like usual." I thought and then created a huge ugly winged creature with purple fur and fifteen eyes. I walked in the house and started to watch tv.
About two hours later Nate came in looking pissed. Right behind him was the illusion of me and the creature.
"Hey look the real you." He said sarcastically.
I sighed and made the illusions disappear. I got up and looked at Nate and put my hands up in a questionable manner like the little kids would do when they say, 'I don't know'.
"What now big brother?" I asked.
He pinched the bridge of his nose and looked at me, "Practice your water bending."
I got up and went to get a bowl of water. I walked outside and placed it in the grass. I sat down and concentrated on the water. I started to move my hands around it and slowly the water started to go into the air. I stood up with the water and started to do elaborate tricks with the water.
"Hey Nate!" I yelled.
He came into view and crossed his arms, "Well what do ya know? You're actually getting good at it."
I smiled and lashed my arms out to him instantly getting him wet. I fell to the floor laughing.
"That's what you get for making me train." I said.
He came up to me and picked me up, "Now learn how to get me dry."
"Get a towel." I stuck my tongue out.
My brother smirked and instantly I heard thunder. Over my head was a small cloud. It started to rain hard.
"Try to dry yourself now." He said walking into the house, "Oh and you can't go into the house with that cloud over your head."
I groaned and yelled, "STUPID ASS BUTT!!!" I try not to cuss.
Derrek and Erick showed great support by sitting at a safe distance with popcorn watching me. They would shout a few occasional good comments but that would make me loose concentration.
After about three hours I was able to make the rain drops go to the side and I didn't even need to use my hands!
"Nate!" I yelled, "Come and get this cloud off of me!"
He came out and whistled, "Nice." He made the cloud smaller and smaller until it disappeared, "Okay now tomorrow we cut your hair."
"WHAT!"
